:logo: Time to play a little game called "What If"................What if Lavar doesn't fully heal from not only his knee injury but his pride injury inflicted by the Redskins (in his opinion)........What If losing Pierce becomes too big of a hole to fill and there is a big drop off in production at the position that he manned........What if Barrow doesn't heal either and is either cut, traded or retires, and we didn't get one snap out of him. Would it be safe to say that if Johnson is available at #9 that we give him some serious thought? Feedback please

No.
We have much bigger needs than OLB.

Yes, starting with WR and CB
LB can wait and who knows, LaVar might be ready to go coming September

My hope:
Troy Williamson - or Mike Williams
If not Derrick Johnson
then
Fabian Washington, CB at 25

Prediction. With the #9 Pick the Washington Redskins select Derrick Johnson. Our LB core is weaker than our secondary IMHO.

Johnson would be a good pick. Barrow will be two years older than he was in his last year with the Giants. Even then, he was too slow to cover. He may not have anything left. And even if he does, at his age it still makes sense to draft his replacement.

No.... thanks for playing.
Williams took two relative unkowns, Lemar Marshall and Antonio Pierce, and made them solid players and integral parts of a defensive scheme. I believe he can do it again with Marshall in the middle and someone subbing for Arrington until he's healthy.
Our needs are really DL, meaning pass rusher and potentially a player to add to the rotation of the DL-Interior. Noble and Big Joe aren't spring chickens.
Williams likes Garnell Wilds and Rufus Brown, as well as he has raved about the play of Walt Harris. I think he's not as concerned about the CB position as the mediots will have us believe.
Linebacker just isn't a need we can't find in later rounds and allow Williams to coach him. A smart kid, not a superstar like Johnson.
