This is too funny. I can not believe he actually agreed to this interview. It is classic :D

The best part is when he is stumped on the word Orwellian. . . too funny.

YI, for those who do not know, the word Orwellian is used to describe an oymoronic name. For example, the use of the Clear Skys Act which is language used to cut down entire forests.

Here is a partial definition of Orwellian.

* Manipulation of language for political ends. Most significantly by introducing to words meanings in opposition to their denotative meanings. The eventual result of which is that words are left only with connotations. e.g., an orwellian abuse of language would be refusing to identify something as sexist merely because sexist has a negative connotation, even if the denotative usage would be correct.
* Embracing inconsistent thoughts (doublethink)
* Use of ambiguous language

Now, Frank Lutz was the institutor of the Orwellian language into the Republican administrations laws.

That was pretty darn funny.

And the sad fact it, it also gave us some insight into the mentality of Bush cronies, and politicians in general. And demonstrated of how weary we have to be when we hear something from the administration.

When Lutz was talking about having two asians, etc., at the town hall, it reminded me of something I noticed the other day. I was at the White House website, looking at the cabinet members and noticed something that seemed kinda odd or funny: if you look at the members of the Cabinet, other then the "caucasian" men, there are sets of "two." There are two blacks, asians, hispanics, and a set of two women.

So, I guess they wanted to achieve their "balance" that Lutz was discussing. I guess I just noticed it, since it seemed artificial in that sense. Gotta keep up appearances, right? ;-)

WOW, I never thought about that before, but you are absolutely right. . . Rice & Jackson (black), Mineta and Gonzalez (hispanic), Chow & Rice (female minorities), Spellings and Norton (white females).

Too funny :laugh:
