RJ,
was that on Rt. 50 heading towards Salisbury?
I have seen that a bunch of times in my travels in that area.

Having an Apache actually pointing at me like that on the road and popping me outta a 1000yd stare could have had me cleaning my pants with a stick at the next rest area...

I freakin hate it when cops set up speed traps...it's such a load of crap, there are a billion other things going on and thats what they're worried about...of course they deny that they have a "quota" that they have to meet every month, but whatever...everyone knows its true...
I just hate the attitude, especially when you're a younger guy like me and they get all high and mighty and act like billy badass cause they nabbed a young kid driving around in a nice sportscar.
seriously guys, check the link i posted earlier, it lists popular speedtraps around the area you live, it can be pretty useful.

It's not a trap. If you speed, you have to expect to get caught sooner or later. If you don't want to pay the fine then don't speed. I know I'm speeding so if I'm caught I have nobody to blame but myself.
Just another example of people wanting to put blame on somebody else.

Very simple solution.
Follow the posted speed limit and don't speed.
Problem solved.

66 in a 55 is a little ridiculous... I can understand 11 mph over if it was like 41 in a 30, but not on a highway at 55... I thought the unwritten rule was 70 anyway.........

a PA state trooper that married a friend of mine told me that they typically don't bother with anything under 10 mph over the limit. 70 in a 55 will get you pulled over most of the time, in my experience.
i actually got pulled over a couple months ago when i was going the speed limit. it was really late at night, and the cop thought i had to be drunk. he said i was swerving (i wasn't) and gave me a sobriety test. i obviously passed, and he just told me to "drive carefully," as if going the speed limit isn't being safe.

I have to confess. My last ticket (many years ago) was for 63 in a 35 zone.
In my defense, it was a country road about a mile from where I lived in my High School (and driving) age. And back then the limit was 55. OTOH, I wasn't even obeying the 55, so it's not like I've got a right to complain.
I also have to admit, I find it really amusing the number of prople who whine, because they were knowingly breaking the law, a cop saw them do it, and the officer didn't look the other way.

In college I had a Camaro. Well I was pulled over for doing 50 in a 35, the good thing about it is I happened to have my 2 dogs in my car. Chelsea my Shepherd Rotti mix (120lbs) came from my passenger seat and was standing across my lap face to the window growling at the cop that walked up. My Sharpei (85lb) was in the back seat and came between my seat and the window growling and showing teeth.
To make a long story short I could not get out of the car nor could I roll the window down so the cop told me to go ahead and slow down. So if you need to get out of a ticket bring your two protective dogs and a cop can not approach your vehicle.

It was on RT. 50 coming from Ocean City to Salisbury. It wasn't a speed trap (I travel that way everyday to work so I know where they hide), the Trooper was in an unmarked car and had just pulled off a side road behind me and got me before I realized he was there.

In my younger days I was out cruising in my 70 Old 442 Convertible which was ORANGE with racing stripes...stood out like a sore thumb. I had 3 other guys in the car with me...one dude was a friend of a friend who I had just met that day.
Anyway, I get pegged for doing 38 in a 25 (right in the middle of a school zone, so that was the big issue. Pretty soon 2 other cop cars show up on scene and are surrounding my vehicle. The cops have all of us out of the car now and are searching us, looking in my car, etc.
...they are actually pulling the plates off my car and getting ready to tow (actually due to registration problems because the car came from FLA to CT...but that's too long to explain here)....
...when one of my buddies says to this new dude I just met - "Tell them about your uncle and your dad". And he's saying "Should I? Do you think it will help?"
...turns out this dude's father is a well known judge and his uncle was the CHIEF OF POLICE in the very town I was pulled over in. So this kid says "Officer, would it make any difference if I told you my dad is so-and-so and my uncle is Mr Chief?"
...to which the cop replied, "Uh, yea...it does make a difference".
...and they put the plates back on my car, tore up the ticket and told me to go down to DMV and get my registration taken care of ASAP.

Most of the people I know have received a ticket in Ferris. It is north of me and south of Dallas.
Now I know why:
Jurisdiction (city, county, etc.): Ferris, Texas
Speed Trap Location: Interstate 45
Nearest Reference Point: City Limits Landmark
GPS Coordinates: n/a
Time of Day: Any time of day
Level of Enforcement: High
Type of Enforcement: Radar, Laser
Date: 3/2005
Ferris, Texas has no tax base. Revenue is generated via Interstate I45. Both North and South.
NO tax base........well......that about sums it up!!

yea they are EVERYWHERE especially around beach season. when coming to OC this summer, pleeease spare yourself a ticket and take the time to go no more than 10 over the speed limit because the troopers WILL pull you over. dont want any of you to have your vacation ruined :(
