***URGENT MESSAGE*** THERE IS A BROOM SHORTAGE IN THE GREATER BALTIMORE AREA. IF BROOMS ARE PLENTIFUL IN YOUR AREA, PLEASE SEND BROOMS TO 333 WEST CAMDEN ST. BALTIMORE, MD.

The Orioles swept Toronto in April, even knocking around their ace, Roy Halladay. This series will feature the heart of their rotation with Gustavo Chacin, Former O Josh Towers, and Halladay. The O's will send their 1-3 starters Lopez, Cabrera and Bedard. The first and third games of the series have excellent pitching matchups.

Chacin is a young lefty that uses an odd throwing motion as a means of deception. He also have the advantage of opposing batters not seeing him in many AB's before. Most Orioles have only seen him 2-3 times. Gibbons and Lopez both have multiple hits ahainst him in limited AB's.

Game 1 may not be on TV in the DC area since the WIZ playoff game will be on comcast. This may be a sparing measure, since Gustave Chacin is an UGLY UGLY man. I'll be @ the game, though! Hopefully the O's can get into that pen early. If Lopez can hold the Jay's close, the O's will get a big inning eventually.

Game 2 may be another slugfest with Cabrera on 12 days of rest and Josh Towers. Towers got a tough luch no decision when the two locked up last time, as the Jays pen gave up 8 runs in a blowout victory.

Game 3 is an intriguing matchup with Halladay against Bedard (3:05 start!). Bedard is coming off his best outing of the season, and Halladay is coming off a complete game shutout (3 hits allowed) to the Yanks. Halladay has always been against the Orioles, though the birds tagged him last time for 6 runs in 6 innings.

If they can win game one, they should be able to win the series. I don't think this sweep streak can last much longer, but is sure is fun!

LETS GO O'S!

We can kick the crap out of Towers....his careers been downhill since that month or two that he had here where people were calling him the next Maddux.

Chacin, not so sure about. That's one fugly dude though...I think we can take him...the way we're rolling now, we can take anyone...Only one i'm worried about in their rotation is Halladay...

I still hate the Jays. Anyone remember the early 90's and the Cito Sucks tshirts that were all over the place? :)

Remember when he used HIS GUY in the end of the 93 All star game? Mike Mussina was just waiting there, and remember, the game was IN FREAKING BALTIMORE.

I'm really interested in seeing how Cabrera does after some extra time with Miller working on Mechanics.

1-0 loss and the entire team was pull-happy. We hit like 5 warning track balls, but the weather dictated that small ball was the way to do. What a waste of a excellent preformance from Cabrera. Tomorrow is a 3:05 game andf should be warmer. Perhaps that'll help.

With the Yanks and Boston splitting the past 2 games against weak opponents, tomorrow game is important since they would lose only one game to both of them over the series (if they both win).

It's also a wendy's wednesday. If you get a Wendy's combo meal first, you can get a free ticket to the game (the first 2000 people, or something).

Lets salavage this thing tomorrow, then roll over the Royals.

Yeah we need to pull this one out. I think we'll win it. Today's 1-0 was a bit surprising. We would have had 5 dingers if it was 10 degrees warmer or even had 3 mph winds. They were all close.

I'm glad to see Cabrera pitch the way he did. I think they left him in an inning too long looking at his pitch count, but despite all those problems he had in the 8th he only gave up 1 run. Here's hoping this 1-0 shutout is like the last one, where they win the next 8 in a row.

Filthy. It's not that is heater is that fast or his curve is that big. He's just locating the ball great, and his smooth delivery makes every pitch harder to hit than it is.

Did anyone see Javy's glove, it didnt even move, Bedard hit the glove wherever Javy set up. Incredible.

Hopefully the Red Sox and Yanks will lose tonight, then we wouldn't lose ground to anybody buy Toronto for the series.

Bedard had a great game...still annoyed at how our bats can go cold over two games just like that....reminds me of those back to back shutouts against boston....

It's kind of shocked me as well, but the offense is not going to go on a scoring spree every day. If we can go on the same winning streak after we got shut out by the Red Sox it would be great.

We have a chance to win the next series against Royols. And guess who are we facing. Danny Bautista.

You have to love the fact that we've had a couple occurrences of back-to-back shutouts and we're still one of the best offenses in the AL.
