Zero, have a service. A pool is the greatest part of any home I have owned. I use our pool everyday.

what do they charge you?
to open or close a pool, the local store here charges 150.00. i do it myself to save the money. i have a polaris 360 to do the vacuuming, but i hand vac occasionally. i probably spend 5 hours a week, give or take a couple.

Got one. It's not open yet :( Summers in the NE suck. It's not warm enough for the pool yet. I will prob open it this coming week and put the solar cover on hoping to get it warm enough to get in. The maint. isnt that bad, as long as you keep up on it.

My grandparents have an inground pool, It used to get used all the time when we were little, but I haven't been swimming in years there. Just no time. My grandpop used to put a few hours in everyday.

you're definitely right, you have to stay on top of it, and then it's not so bad. this is our 3rd summer w/ a pool, and i've learned a lot of things the hard way, especially the importance of the pool closing. makes opening so much easier.
