The storm prediction center has issued a special weather statement for a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for Maryland, Northern and Central Virginia, Panhandle of West Virginia, and DC.
The main threat from these storms will be very stong wind gusts. Some might reach severe levels(58mph) or higher.
Stay safe and watch/listen to the TV or Radio so you know if severe weather is moving into your area.

This is the weather for my area.. Good ole CT in a Tornado Watch
WTNH, June 6, 2005 Updated 3:32 PM) _ Keep an eye on the sky. Parts of Connecticut are under a tornado watch this afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for Northwestern Connecticut until 6:00 p.m, and a severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of the state until 8:00 p.m.
A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in the area under the watch.
The weather service says is a potential for wind gusts up to 70 mph, lightning and hail one inch in size.

We had up to 72MPH wind gust. Well you know how we had the fire in Feb. They are still rebuilding the house and there is a port o potty outside. The wind blew it still standing up to the middle of the street and down the street to the main road. We were laughing till we cried seeing it in the middle of the road.

baseball size hail up here in some areas. Thank God we didn't have to go through that again. The last time I had 40k worth of damage to my house :(

Hail is a car dealer's nightmare. There has been times when
we've gotten as many cars as possible inside, because of
a forecast for large hail.

I think that that last "micro burst" just HAMMERED a few of the dealerships up here.
My wife's van had about 7k in damage. They had to replace the whole roof
It was really bad

Another heads up.
There's a strong line of storms headed this way. Looks like it's strong enough to hold together over the mountains so in a couple hours or so.........
