He is Mr. Redskin to me. Standing up for coach Gibbs like he did, shows me how valuable a player this is to the team. Seeing him on special teams and as a receiver again in burgundy and gold gives me a warm feeling inside. I can't wait to see him in action this year. He will make PLAYS for the Redskins. Watch and marvel. And... give it up for him when he does. He NEVER gets enough love, so I'd just like to raise a glass to him now.

I'm with you. Cheers to James Thrash, who has a tough and low profile job.

I was also glad when he became a Redskin again. He made some nice receptions in spots when we needed it, and really played big time on special teams. As Gibbs has said, he's the kind of guy that does everything you ask of him and then some!

I thought this was going to be an anti-Thrash thread, by the title GIVE UP the love for Thrash.

Im in. He talked to me at the MCI center for 20 minutes. He was asking me questions about my life leading me to think he wanted my autograph. What a great guy

Loved those plays in (back to back???) games on special teams. He was on fire w/ downing the ball close to the goal line. You had to be there at Fed Ex when he had that one awesome game last year - we all let him know we appreciated the heads up, extra effort and smart play.

I loves me some Jimmy Thrash.
To think everyone called him James Trash because he's not an elite-WR. He might not be an elite-WR, but he's a great team player filling holes in the locker room, on special teams, and in the offense both receiving and blocking from a TE-type position.
Much love Jimbo.

Not that it matters much, but seeing him up close - I believe you are both 1/2 right.

I was sad to see him go when he went to Philly, so I'm happy to have him back with Coach Gibbs. So I'll raise a glass, and cheers to Thrash

Never looked good in green. I won't lie, I called him "Trash" when he was in Philly, but I always liked the guy.

There's only one Mr Redskins imo and Thrash isn't it ;p. I love Thrash though, I mean you know he'd like to play more WR but you never hear a word from him about the likely hood of him not playing to much at WR. We go out and get a bunch of WR's and he's still all about the team.
It's wierd though, I wonder why we don't see him on the field more at WR, he's more sure handed then Gardner, he's not a slow guy by any means, he runs his routes fairly accurately. I don't get it. He's a Gibbs type of guy through and through, when we got him back I was pretty convinced he'd challenge Gardner for the number 2 spot last year but I don't even remember him being on the field that much during preseason. Oh well. he deserves it imo. Not just because he's a true redskins but he has the skills as well.

I didn't appreciate James Thrash the first time he was here. When he left for Philly, I too joined in the James "Trash" chorus and always said that Philly's receivers couldn't start for the Redskins.
But with his return last year, I've seen the light and see what an unselfish guy he is. He's a hard worker with great character. Unfortunatly he's only rubbed off on Taylor Jacobs and not Gardner and McCants.
This is for James....glad you're back home.
