we all know cuz of the long rivarly of the skins and cowgirls that when you go to redskins games you will see plenty of dallas fans. I was just wonderin if anyone has been to a game against the cowboys in dallas and if their were plenty of skins fans their too? if so how are they treated compared to the cowboys fans at redskin games????

Yes and Yes.. I've been there with my Redsking Sweats on and never had one person comment. Now there was some good natured ribbing, but all and all they're good fans.

Edit>

Believe it or not, there were some Eagles fans tailgating and they were very obnoxious.

:) Seems to me, there's no better source about all things related to the Redskins in Dallas than our dear own Blondie.

I can not tell you how long it has been since I MISSED a Redskin/Dallas game. Long time.

I have NEVER had anyone be anything but nice.

Well, two years ago......a boy about 13 came running by and said Redskins suck........and when he realized I was faster than he thought and could catch him and beat his butt, he put it in second gear and took off.

We have many Skins fans there and there is a Burgandy and Gold Club and we tailgate before each Dallas game there. LOTS of Skins all around.

If you are planning to attend the game.........stop by.

(Sorry I was late getting here guys........I was getting a pedicure and didn't carry my pager with me. ;) )

Blondie question:

Myself and some friends want to come down for the game this year. What's the best way to go about getting tickets and a good hotel down their?

Blondie

The Redskins stay at the Renaissance Market Center hotel.

I have stayed there with them and I have stayed at Embassey Suites about 1 block away.

As for tickets.....go to ebay. However, that game is the first home game for Dallas AND on a Monday night. The prices might be higher.

I also know a broker.....if you are interested. Much higher prices but good tickets.

I will be on the 45 yard line about 2 rows from the field. And we tailgate.

Come by! PM me if you are interested in tailgating.

I go every year to dallas (except last year being so cloe to XMAS) and really there are no problems. and I will say one thing I do like about the dallas fans is that EVERYONE is in thier seat 5 min to kick off..

Its a lot of fun. I'm going again this year, booked directly with greatatlantic travel.

We tailgate outside of Section 3 where the Redskins board after the game.

Come by!

the tail gate parties in Dallas aren't the best, but they aren't the worst... it's a good time, but not overly wild...

You'll find that most Dallas fans are some of the nicest fans at the game (that doesn't count the internet)... definetly more of family friendly enviornment than a lot of places (i.e Philly)...

and honestly Houston is much the same way... maybe it's just the area??

I have been to Dallas to see the Skins and never had any problems with their fans. There were many Skin fans there, but not as many as there are Cowboy fans at Fed Express.

I'll most likely be at that game this year too.

Heres to a good one.

Do you go often?

I have to disagree about the tailgating......lots of food, drink and talking trash to the boys.

I try to make a couple games every year... it's a good little drive from Amarillo, though...

I make 2 almost every year.........the Skins game and then 1 between the boys and either Philly or the Giants.

Like I said............tailgating for the Skins game is always great.

I went to the Redskins/Cowboys in 1994 in Dallass. I was in the end zone but I forgot which section. Too drunk to care just glad I was there. On two occasions I went to get beer and on both occasions when I came out of the tunnel to my section I was booed by the whole section. Awesome feeling being booed by a few hundred haters.:point2sky

I've been to the last two games @ Dallas. No better feeling than high fiving fellow 'SKins fans in and around Dallas during the weekend.

I thought that there was an equal turnout of Skins fans as there are Cowgirls fans at home. I was also pretty amazed by "third party fan." (i.e. Marino, Bettis, Randy Moss, etc.)

I missed the Blondie tailgate, but I think there is strength in numbers...:dallasuck

Blondie....

Thanks for all of the Dallas information. I am really considering taking my 10 year old down there for the Monday night game. You mentioned that the team stays in the Renaissance hotel....I am familiar with the hotel since I have stayed there on business before. If we decide to stay there is there a chance that my kid would be able to run into players, coaches, etc? That would be the highlight of his life!

I asked about this game a week ago thinking it was at FEDEX.
Was going to take my son, what a lonely night that would have been.

LOL yes I am the one that told you it was an away game :-) could you imagine you show up there is no traffic, no lights, no cars.. hmm it would be like a scene out of a sci-fi movie.. Blondie buddy of mine and I will be there for the game, hope to make it to the tailgate.

Heck man,
When we played the Colts during the 70th greatest Redskins half time event.....There were a ton of Cowboys fans there.

Many of them trying to start stuff, b/c Emitt Smith broke the rushing record that weekend.....I just laugh at them since they just spent their money on the Redskins for no good reason.

I have to agree with The Key.....

I watched both games: Dallas/Washington a good mix of fans but it was clearly a Dallas adv.

Dallas/Pittsburgh: Watching that game and all the terrible towels flying...you think that the game was at Heinz instead of Texas stadium. Too bad for Dallas fans, it was a great game that the Boys should have won.

Okay, so we know they treat tall, willowy blonde lady Redskins fans all right.

But how do they treat fans with stubble and beer guts?

Keepin' it real here. :)
