Artest is a top 15 player in the game. Kwame doesn't crack the top 100. We'd have to sweeten that deal up a hell of a lot more for the Pacers to even consider it. I'm a huge Artest fan though, and would absolutely love it if he came here. With the pick of Danny Granger the Pacers might not be so adverse into exploring any deals involving Artest.

real talk
we should be considered lucky to get any NBA-level starter for Kwame

what about Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry? The Bulls don't seem to be in a hurry to give them a lot of money. Maybe a trade for one of them could happen?

I would love for Artest to come here the guy is a headcase but he is one tenacious defender, something we are sorely lacking here. We'd have to really throw in something to make that trade happen.
And if it did I would be one happy Wiz fan.

Chandler is a cheapa** and Curry is a high risk player, but i'd be willing to take him for the right price, just not Chandler.

I'm really tempted to go Chandler. He's a cheap ass to be sure, but he plays harder then I see Kwame playing and he seems to be making more progress.

For not being 100% in the playoffs he was pretty good.

Chandler's offensive game is hopeless, but he's a great rebounder. He seems more like a guy you want coming off the bench and not a starter.

By the way Indiana, NY, and LA have just been mentioned as the ones trying to get Kwame
so sounds like my plan is for real
unlike Hands I am not going to shout out to the rooftops about it:laugh:

I think it would be a no brainer trade for us. If we could get Artest, they should pull the trigger in a nanosecond.
Headcase or not, Artest is an animal defender, solid rebounder, good scorer and highly aggressive. That is exactly the kind of player we need.
I think the Pacers may need to just dump him too. They will not get anything close to full value on Artest after that last melt down, but I am not sure he has sunk to Kwame trade bait yet LOL.

Ernie G will make something sweet happen out of the Kwame Brown mess, we can count on that. As for Ron Artest, I'd take him.

Word is on Sportstalk 980 that the Kwame for Butler deal is real close to going down. The only hold up is Kwame wants a three year deal, and the Lakers are offering two with an option to pick up the third.
