I don't think Wilky has ever played any IF other than 1B.
We don't have a true lead off batter, but Wilky and Carroll are passable lead off men. I like Wilky and Carroll at the 1 and 2 spots or vice versa with Vidro and Guillen at the 3 and 4.

The duo of Patterson and Hernandez are going to be a great 1-2 pitching punch next year.
Add in Loiaza who seems to be pitching out of his slump(he's won like 4 straight decisions)and we have the makings of dominant pitching.
GO NATS :)

width = 300 height = 300
I made a little video clip at the game. There was a close play at the plate, but Guillen got called out. Anyone find it funny how we lit up former Nat Zach Day? :laugh:

Patterson was awesome. He should have a lot more wins than he does. Finally a little run support. :D

Booma-Brad cannot play third. Just first and the outfield.
However, I'm fairly certain Bowden will go out and get another utility infielder before the deadline. I get the sense that they aren't to comfortable starting Carroll more than two games in a row. And Castilla's knee will probably bother him for the rest of the year.
Inreresting lineup changes last night but the game was all about Patterson. He threw a lot of fastballs that the Rockies just couldn't catch up with. You could tell early on that he had it. He has the best stuff on the team by far.
Carroll batting leadoff was a pretty good idea by Frank because he needed to bench Guzman anyway, but it's not a long term answer. But I'm glad to see Brad moved down in the lineup, although he should really bat fifth as opposed to third.
