Joe Gibbs' offense is based on execution. He calls plays that he KNOWS his offense will execute. If the opposition can't stop them, he will keep calling them. If the opposition stops them, they can ONLY do so by cheating to stop that play. Gibbs then runs plays that'll look like those base plays but when the oppostion cheats to stop them, they get burned.
Last year, the Redskins failed to execute even some of the most basic plays. Gibbs also had to aclimate from an environment where only a couple of team had backside players you had to account for to almost every team having at least one. Defense evolved to where it could stop a trap and still be able to stop a power sweep.
What will the new base plays be? What other plays can be run from these base plays?
