It didnt look right on Lavar. I liked it when he had his old face mask with the black shield. Just like Sean he looks more "lethal.":logo:

He could wear Lance Armstrong's helmet for all I care as long as he plays a full season for once! :D

That was ugly.
I hope he decides to use the black visor with a full cage.

He looked like the Jackel off of 13 ghosts. Seriously, I miss the black visor.

for once? lavar has historically been pretty sturdy. discounting this past season, he played all 16 games except for 2001 when he appeared in 14 games.

I was thinkin' the same thing. He makes it out like LaVar is injury prone or something. :whoknows:

I nearly threw up when he intially wore it in practice. I was watching fox and boom i hear LA is coming back and when they showed him i was like, that is one horrible looking facemask. There was nothing intimidating about that facemask besides making him look goofy and we all know how intimidating goofy is?

I believe the black visors are now illegal. Only clear is permitted under current NFL rules.

I think your right. On KFFL.com where they report the littleist things. Anyways, "Pac-Man" jones requested to the NFL if he could where the dark shield so his vision would be better. If they didn't suspend the use of these shields, why would he ask? And if this rule is true, I feel bad for Ricky Williams. Everybody gets to see his face now.

True, but ask Kyle Kosier how goofy LaVar looked after he got leveled.

you to have a medical waiver to wear the dark visors now

What is the reasoning behind this new rule? It seems stupid to me...just let 'em wear a dark visor? What harm can it possibly do? Dumb....
I wonder if social anxiety disorder warrants a medical waiver....if so, Ricky's got nothing to worry about!

That sux, I have always thought the black visors were sweet. My favorite is the orange visors that some of "The U" players wear. Sean Taylor wore one when he was there.

I think you've always needed permission (and a reason).
I'm sure Ricky Williams will have one.

Him being from pittsburg maybe he was going for the Gregg Lloyd look :whoknows:
However it looks a little more intimidating in black than in yellow. It looks more like a birdcage in yellow.

That style mask was popular in the late 80's and early 90's. I think they are much lighter than the typical rubber coated metal ones. He looked like a dork. Sorry LaVar.
