Just noticed on Redskin.com that Brian Kozlowski has resigned. Camp fodder?

all i can remember about him is the pass that he dropped in the endzone in that second Cowturd game last year. That was so frustrating.

Heh, I was just wondering why they handed his number 82 out to someone else.

Koz is a Gibbs type player and a hard worker. He blocks well and usually has good hands. He's a great signing and is familiar with our system.

I doubt he sees the field much this season with white and nemo and cooley.

Kozlowski was brought in to play h-back but I think the staff now realizes he is a better fit as a backup at the traditional TE position and I think he will be there behind Robert Royal in camp.

The Skins were unable to find a veteran backup TE earlier in FA or a prospect in the draft, so I think this signing is evidence the club is trying to get some depth for reasonable dollars from a guy who as mentioned already knows the coaches and players on tis team.

Skins are certainly looking at a lot of players. It doesn't hurt to look and it is early. If a rook looks really good then Brian is gone, if someone gets hurt then it looks like a good move.

Koz in my opinion is a good blue collar player... reminds me of Don Warren where he is a good blocker and if needed he can make a catch once in a blue moon :)

Kozlowski is actually a guy who has a rep as a pretty fair pass cattcher while he is a solid blocker. He is no Don Warren, who at 265 or so was often put on defensive ends or linebackers to block one on one in pass protection.

I wasnt implying is physique or skills.. just the "type" of player.. where he does the little things and doesnt get much notice...

Another blocker and the occasional pass catcher.

I think everybody remembers the Dallas game where Ramsey threw a pass that got by him near the endzone and led to an INT.

Lots of people took that 1 play really poorly (can't say I blame them, it was like being punched in the stomach).

I was sitting on the first row.........and that pass was right there.

Punch in the stomach? Those of us who were wearing the Burgandy and Gold let out a groan in unison.

Sickening.

yes, that dropped pass was something that just about made me want to drive off a cliff...especially when you thought about it after the game and the way we lost...

He's a solid blacking TE and will be that while Royal will be the pass-catching TE. I'm glad we resigned him.

I dunno how I really feel about the guy, but if he's a Gibbs type player with heart I hope he makes the team. Gibbs will not have any slouches wearing the burgundy and gold, even if the are backups.

That play killed our momentum. If we score there, the whole complexion of the game would've changed.
