Yes, it was. The d-line would be suffering.

Damn.

He needs to have another big season for us. He was the lynchpin of the D-line

Under Gibbs, players go get their MRI done as a precautionary measure regardless of what the training staff may think is wrong. The current training staff sends far more players to get an MRI taken than previous staffs.

Tell me about it. I got a #96 jersey that I'd like to keep for a while

Well, it's not like it's NOTHING to worry about. He was held out of practice as a precautionary measure. It doesn't sound serious but I wouldn't dismiss it entirely.

Best of luck to him on a speedy 100% recovery.

I think he's the only irreplaceable player on our defense. To lose him would be like losing Jansen.

I don't want to put a negative spin on this - and my comment isn't just suited for the Redskins - it's suited for all 32 teams:

It is quite likely that every team in the league will lose 1-2 players for the season during the course of training camp and preseason.

If you look at your own team's history, I bet that will often bare itself out to be true. So don't be surprised if you lose a starter or two for the season over the next coming weeks - it's just an unfortunate reality to this physical sport.

To add credence to this: the Miami Dolphins was the first team to start camp (along with Chicago) less than one week ago. Their projected starting corner replacing Sam Madison? - out for the year already.
