View Full Version : Rock or Nemo?

This is going to be a tough choice and I hope we keep both, but if you must keep one who do you keep?

I'd say at this point I'd keep Rock. He just looked so natural running the ball yesterday and hes proved he can catch well also. I think he's slightly ahead of Nemo at this point.

Any chance we keep Rock as 3rd string RB and Nemo on the PS?

Rock outplayed Nemo last night. Rock is more valuable on special teams. Nemo can go to the practice squad I think.

At the moment I like Nemo, but I would like to see him catch some balls. Rock can catch. And Rock is a true redskin according to Gibbs. Tough choice

Rock has the experience with the team, looked very good last night, especially wiggling his way past that defender to skip into the endzone. He also looks good catching ball out of the backfield. I say keep Rock but as someone else said, get Nemo on the practice squad for now, keep him in the orginization as he developes

Put Nemo on the practice squad, and he's gone in 24 hours. I say keep him and cut Rock. He shows much more potential, IMHO, even though I've always been impressed with Rock's abilities at catching the ball out of the backfield.

I believe Rock has made the team. The only question is do they keep 4 RBs, if not then Nemo is gone. Probably will make the PS

You'll see both on the active roster.

I really can't see Gibbs not keeping them btoh at this point.

Rock. Keep Nemo in the organization, on the practice squad. Rock has paid his dues, he works hard and runs hard. He deserves another year in a Redskins uniform.

Both of these guys, IMHO, have shown enough to deserve to remain on the active roster. Both have been impressive at times and both have made mistakes at times. I have been indifferent to Rock for the last few years, but it would be a shame to lose either of these guys. If either one winds up on the practice squad, they won't stay there long.

I agree completely. Rock has earned the 3rd back spot, and Nemo should have the chance to earn his stripes on special teams this year.

At this point I see Gibbs keeping both of them. But if one has to go it will be Rock because lets face it. Nemo is only a rookie and he moves people on the line. I mean if he keeps getting better what is he going to do in a couple of years? He is going to be a huge plus for the skins.

So since Rock is a good ST player I don't see why not have both. Question is what do we do with White? He was our 4th rounder and so far he has not shown me much. Lucky he is a H-back.

That's probably why White's not going anywhere. I mean... he could be cut, but I'd be surprised.

Hasn't he!!

Funny, the 1st and 2nd day of camp, almost EVERYONE had Rock cut...washed up......couldn't do crap.......go to the house.

NOW, he has shown he is worth a lot more than he was given credit.

I am so glad.

Rock is NOT eligible for the practice squad.

if Sellers can play both the H-Back and the traditional TE spot as a backup then the team can save a roster spot and keep both backs.

Hands down, the Rock! Nemo to the practice squad.

if Rock was 5'10" we wouldnt be speculating. He's more than earned his roster spot.

Nemo rushed for more yards last night. Just not as many per carry. But at this point I'm keeping both.

Both.
Rock just won't make it easy for anyone to cut him, the guy just flat out plays hard.

Nemo is huge, and is just the bullrusher we're going to need at times.

Drop Billy Baber and keep both.

Yeah Id have to say keep both. The rock is pretty solid and yes he has paid his dues, but since he is a great Special teams player why not definatly keep him for sure on the squad as ST and Runningback. I mean Nemo has done alot as a rookie more than any other rookie this year. Nemo deserves a spot cause if hes gone there will be another team benefiting for sure. KEEP BOTH! :point2sky

If Rock isn't with us then he will be quickly picked up by another team. I think he has outplayed Nemo so far, he has hit the holes with quickness and even though he may be small in height, he pounds the ball and is not afraid to tear through some defenders. Gotta love his heart. Nemo has potential to be good, however he has been playing with the last guys trying to make the team, I don't know if he has the skill to take on first and second stringers.

This is what I'm predicting will happen. - we will keep 4 TE/HB's (Cooley, White, Royal, Sellers) and 4 RB's.

Robert Johnson I believe is still eligible for the PS, so we could stash him for depth.

Broughton will get signed to someone's active roster if he gets exposed on the practice squad - just like Chris Clemons last season. Hopefully JG realizes this.

Putting Nemo on the practice squad would be foolish, as pointed out here already, he'd be gone in a heartbeat. Keep them both, as Bang said, drop Baber and put White on the PS. Royal needs to stay active, and Johnson impressed me a LOT last night...he was driving people hard on his blocks. White isn't drawing many people's attention with his play this season at the HB position, and if, God forbid, something happens to Cooley, if Sellers is active he could back him up if necessary.

Keeping both is preferrable - but if one is kept, it's gotta be Broughton. Having someone who punishes defenders is a gigantic advantage over the course of a game (i.e. Riggins, Bettis, Alstott). I think White might be the guy on the bubble here out of the RB/HB group, regardless of the fourth.
