I'm glad that no one's hysterical with Super Bowl fever after that resounding victory, but why all the negativity?
This team is building something that so many teams struggle with (including the '93-'04 Skins): identity. This is becoming a tough, tenacious, hardnosed squad that is playing team first.
The "D" is already there: being a star doesn't even guarantee you start (see LaVar), but GW rotates so many guys through there that anybody can be a star. The RB's are getting there, too-- I don't know what folks are saying about LaDell Betts, but the guy is fierce: he bursts into the game ready to carry and bulls for his yardage. He also slammed into that wedge like Brian Mitchell after soon to be former Redksins KR Antonio Brown stayed true to preseason form and coughed it up.
Speaking of preseason, Gibbs is NOT going ot open the playbook on Duh Bears when Parcells is coming up, so don't think that vanilla milktoast playcalling is going to stick around for much longer. C'mon, now-- I don't expect y'all to quiver at the thought of Drew Bleeds-so and Keychain Johnson on MNF. We are NOT the Chargers on D. Enjoy it for what it is, and watch it grow!
To finish, the QB question is probably a year away from being answered, but, fortunately, the right guy is already on the roster: he's big, strong-armed and tough, and he''ll be ready.
Keep the faith
