View Full Version : Shame on you

Shame on you so called Redskins fans who now sit and sling fire from your fingertips in the direction of our coach. Shame on you for having more loyalty to one player than to a coach who has lead us to the promised land three times. I personally am willing to take it upon myself to help you to wash the redskins out of your memory by offering to take any tickets, jerseys, etc away from you. This game is much bigger than a player who has played in 30 games, and has chalked up 33 touch downs and 28 interceptions. This kid was given every opportunity to lead this team, and simply never showed that he was up to the challenge. For those of you who think this was a knee jerk reaction by our coach after a quarter of play need to reconsider your loyalties and grasp on reality. Are you a fan of the team or a fan of a player? It doesnt matter if you like Brunell or Ramsey, and it doesnt matter if your going to be on the wagon when we roll back into the playoffs. I for one am disgusted by the statements of many here and elsewhere. The coach has seen exponentially more of the players on this team than we could ever see. I support Joe Gibbs, I support the Redskins, and wish for nothing more than success for this organization. I think Patrick Ramsey is a stand up guy who can have success in this league if he learns to read and react without hesitation. I also believe that we should try our best to grant his trade request, and I hope that he finds great success somewhere. Mark Brunell is our QB next monday, and I know I'll cheer him every step of the way. To those fans that now spit as much venom as the cowpuke fans, I say be gone. This may be my last visit to extremeskins.com because if I wanted to hear trash about Joe Gibbs, two of our QBs, and everything between I would be on a cowboys message board.

Hey CHC, don't worry, many of these people spewing this crap are not long for extremeskins.com. They'll be gone soon enough. Believe me, I've been here over a year, and was questioning whether or not I wanted to remain a member myself after yesterday's tirade. However, the staff running the show here is top notch, and so are the vast majority of long-time members. Don't let the "I'm upset and must run to a message board to spew hate" types rain on your parade. If you stick around long enough, you'll learn what a valuable asset being a member of this board is.

Oh, and that was one hell of a post. Couldn't agree with you more

If you questioned your membership to this site over things said about Joe Gibbs then you have more of an allegiance to Joe Gibbs than the team.

People are only like this because they don't feel as though Brunell gives the WASHINGTON REDSKINS the best chance to win.

Fine, you can buy my Redskins keychain. It's a oval shaped pewter thing with a a ring of leather on the outside. Just send me the check for $100 and I'll mail it to you ASAP.

HOW DARE THESE FOOLS EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS ON A FAN MESSAGE FORUM DESIGNED FOR REDSKINS FANS TO COME TOGETHER AND EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS. IT IS A TRAVESHAMOCKERY!!!

If nobody can disagree with Gibbs, what is the point of having this place at all?

Exactly.

If all you're going to do is agree with Gibbs regardless of situation and scold people who don't, maybe you guys should come together at a combine in Waco and wait for Gibbs to meet you there.

You’re wasting your breath. Being a dissenter on this board is tantamount to treason. You must follow the party line or you’re going to have fire and brimstone rain on your head from “the faithful”.

Bull SH#@! Nobody cares whether or not you disagree with Gibbs. I disagreed with a lot of his moves last year, and I'm damn sure not sold on Brunell this year (even though I was last year ;)) However, throwing out personal insults and calling for his head is absurd and pathetic, and that's what this thread is about.

Honestly what Gibbs did was pure garbage and I lost all respect. His offense and the way he calls games is outdated period. I'm thankful that he brought SB trophy's to DC but Casserly had alot to do with that has well has a slew of others. What has Gibbs done since he returned?? Has his offense looked NFL caliber?

Can Ramsey atleast lose us 1 game before he is jerked just 1???
He lost the Philly game but he had everybody so excited about to knock off the Eagles and without him we woulda had no chance. I think PR is gonna be a fine Qb i'm just sad its not gonna be here.

What has Brunell done againest #1 defenses since he has been a Skin beside the 1 Dallas game?

Coach is guttless in my opionion and is scaried to death of Dallas. If it would a have been the Seahawks next week I honestly think PR woulda stayed in.

Welcome your 04-05 Redskins

Being a "Skins Fan" means being a "Skins Fan." This team existed before Joe and it will afterward. If I see something fishy going around, damn right I am going to talk about it. We live in a what have you done for us lately society, even Gibbs agrees. Lately, you gotta admit Joe has done some wierd stuff. Sorry, blind faith only goes so far.

throwing out insults to another community member is againts the terms of use of this board.

Saying that Gibbs should retire due to his actions is an opinion and last time I checked not considered "hate speech".

Joe Gibbs ha lost it.. mark Brunnel can't win and will not will, Patrick was our best chance to win. Strap your seatbelts and ride another losing season and prepare for a new coach next year. Maybe by 2008 we can look for a winning season. Dan Snyder needs to step in, Gibbs doesn't get it and it is a shame to see him this way. I am a long time redskins fan and I can't stand to see Brunnel. It is like going to the dentist. Every play I hope he gets hurt which isn't right but thats the only way Ramsey will come back. Remember last year! How long will Gibbs go this time? Ramsy has a stronger arm and the ability to move the team quickly, if it wasn't for the offensive pass interference he would have thrown that TD pass. What I don't understand is how can coach Gibbs say Brunnel played better. He didn't complete a pass over 15 yards, or 10 for that matter, he can't stretch the field like coch Gibbs said he wanted to do this year. To top it off, Jason Campbell is not the future, name one QB that came from the Defense week SEC that is quality.

Gibbs was right when he signed Brunnell - he will have a great season. Gibbs gave Ramsey every chance, right up to one interception and two fumbles in the red zone.

Cool Hands... nice pass interference. If you play the game right Patrick doesn't get hurt. So now we know that the dissention is coming from inside the team. If you care about the coach and the team then you support and back your QB.. who was Patrick. It looked like he was leading the team to a TD and a win to me. You've been a redskin for 2 years now and you think you know how to deal with redskins fans. Go ahaed buy back tickets and jerseys... you'll lose respect and fan support very quickly in that city.

The one fumble should have never happened.. one it should have been a penalty and second cooley shouldn't have committed a pass interference... that drive should have been a TD. The other fumble was a sack.. which the last time I checked was the lines fault not the QB.

Just a followup and then I will let the haters get back to hating. I am not saying that you don't have a right to an opinion because you certainly do. I am saying that I think it is a sad day when redskins fans post hate speech. Saying you think that the game has past the coach by are fine in my book despite the fact I couldn't disagree more. What I am saying is wrong are the posts where Redskins fans are personally attacking our coach. It is wrong to wish harm upon anyone wearing the burgandy and gold while claiming to be a fan. I may not have posted 5000 times, and I may not have reputation as an insider, but I do have a moral objection to a good bit of the filth that is coming out of some of these posts. I just really feel that alot of these posters can't see the forrest from the trees. Nobody wants to lose and nobody other than the media wants all this contraversy. I was earlier accused of taking Joe Gibbs over the team in reaction to the ramsey demotion. I guess I can understand this accusation, but still find it hard to believe that supporting whomever is on the field and sidelines is treason. I just hope we beat Dallas, and thought that joining extremeskins.com would give me a place to celebrate the victories and mourn the losses. Instead I feel as though respect and praise are very hard found.

Beat the cowboys!

Yea, an INT where the RECIEVER STOPPED IN MID ROUTE!!!
A fumble on a hit that should have been penalized, and therefore no fumble.
The other fumble, was recovered by us.
What a bout all the down the field pass plays Ramsey made?
Or the four third down conversions?
or the TD called back?
At least when Ramsey thew the ball in made it into the endzone.
All of this in ninteen minutes of game time.
Bruell had 41 minutes of game time to make something happen. And he didn't.
The only thing Brunell will lead us too is a higher draft pick.
I might be wrong, and hope I am. But Ramsey looked more like a QB than Brunell.

Too many people are accusing others of putting a player first, when we actually might be putting the SKINS first above Gibbs.

You have two prevailing mindsets here: one that vividly recalls Gibbs by his 3 Superbowl victories, and others who vividly recall him according to last season's 6-10 performance.

The clashing of these mindsets is what we are witnessing.

I would just like to say that I am not happy with Gibbs decision, and that I do not like M. Brunell. However, I rather have a vet against the Cowboys than Ramsy because of what he does in the endzone. One word..turnouvers! When Ramsy is in the redzone I get so damn nervous its not even funny. Gibbs is the coach and we have to respect his decision as a fan. If the fans are all butt-hurt and etc; how can the team play with added pressure from the fans..its just not right. We should support the Redskins organization no matter what. One thing I do know is that Brunell knows the heat is coming and that he needs to step it up come monday night. I dont care who is the QB..I would never want our QB to get hurt and I will be rooting for our QB and the Redskins against Dallas!

It's one thing to disagree with Gibbs. It's the personal attacks that I don't care for.

I think that last year, Gibbs was still trying to find his NFL legs again, after having been gone for all those years.

This year, so far, Ramsey did not do much to inspire Gibbs' confidence. I have to defer to the coach who sees Ramsey every day, has forgotten more about football than I know, and who wants to win more than any of us fans.
