Hell yeah, this is what we needed, we were able to squeek by this one, and we have a place to work from.


If Brunell can make deep throws like that in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quaters, Portis will be able to run. The reason our running game stunk, was because there was no threat from the passing game, (untill the 4th quarter that is :D ) so we were slammed there, if we are a threat the entire game, we can win more. (You know that there are going to people who gave up on Brunell and the game and went to bed early, and will wake up tommorrow,see the results and say "I told you so", its all good though.)

Thank goodness we can go into the bye on a up note, but we we SO close to being ashamed, Jose Cortez was 1/2 an inch from killing us, and Sean Taylors big pass dropping hit saved us. Brunell made the WRs a non-factor untill the end of the game, and had one horrible pick, and several almost picks, but was good enough this week. Hopefully all the underthrows and the fact he couldn't hit Patten at all is because he hasn't work that much with them and can fix it in the bye.

If the last 5 minutes wern't luck, we have somewhere to start off of.

I agree, the bye came at an ideal time. They're still a work in progress, but a work in progress that is 2-0 is better then 0-2 for sure.. Santana is an amazing receiver. I agree about Patten, I think the timing will come and this game was a catalyst. The o-line will get better too.. each game is gonna be tough.. but the Skins showed tons of character tonight..

I dont think the Skins need to work on anything, besides Mark Brunell. Mark Brunell makes the Offense and D suffer cuz he is a BUM. Put Ramsey in, and i guarantee ALL the Skins so-called problems will VANISH.

I agree... the running game will improve as the offense proves itself capable of being a deep threat. This is a great win to build off of.

Gibbs has always been a 'establish the run to pass' coach. Now Gibbs and co. must become a 'pass to establish the run' type of philosphy. No one currently respects our passing game with Brunell in and the conservative play calling. This has to be corrected if we are to move forward this year and possibly make the playoffs.
