I know it's early in the season, but I'd say it's fairly safe to say that the NFC playoffs are going to be the 4 division winners and wild card teams from either the NFC East or NFC South. (My god, the NFC North and West are terrible.)
Here's what the contenders look like after 4 weeks:
Skins- 3-0
Bucs- 4-0
Philly- 3-1
Giants- 3-1
Falcons- 3-1
Panthers- 2-2
Now, remove two of those teams as division winners, and you have to pick two more from that class that you think are the Wild Card team.
That means, essentially, which two of those teams do you think will finish with a worse record than the Redskins?
(PS- I'm going with Giants and Panthers)

Let's just beat the teams that appear on our schedule and see where it puts us...

We have a long ways to go before we can even think about such things.
However, if we continue to be effective as the season progresses, such talk will be warranted :)

Perfect application of that line!
One thing I do believe though, if we keep playing like we're playing, we'll be in every game and have the opportunity to win enough to get to the playoffs.

Now, now, read the post before you begin to say it's too early.
I just said that the Wild Card winners will probably not come from the NFC North or West (and I don't think that's going out on a limb at all.)
Leaving division winners plus two teams from the NFC East and South.
Then I logically eliminated the Cowboys :dallasuck and Saints from that discussion.
It's more or less a question of what you expect out of the other teams.

Agreed.
We were in every game last year, maybe with the exception of the Bungles game. No reason why we can't be in every one this year.

Great D and a clock killing, run-oriented O tend to keep you in games. If we can keep converting on 3rd down like we did against Seattle (which was something sick like 75%), then we'll be in EVERY game.

Early (more than likely accurate) Prediction:
We will have a better record than the winner of the NFC north

Mora really was one of the funniest guys to ever watch just completely lose it.
Here's the script from his famous "PLAYOFFS?!?!?" speech:
Jim Mora:
"Let me start out saying this: Do NOT blame that game on the defense, OK? I don't care who you play, whether it's a high school team, a junior college team, a college team, much less an NFL team, when you turn the ball over five times . . . you ain't gonna beat anybody. That was a disgraceful performance. ... We gave it away. We gave them the frigging game. In my opinion, that sucked.
You can't turn it over five times. Holy crap. I don't know who the hell we think we are when we do something like that ... We've thrown [five] interceptions returned for touchdowns. That might be a league record. And we've still got six games left, so there's no telling how many we'll have. I mean, it's absolutely pitiful to play like that . . . Horrible. Just horrible. Horrible.
Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs? I'm just hoping we can win a game!"
