is the defense as good as its rank says it is?

before the KC game.. the skins had the 5th best defense.. and the chiefs had the 12th best offense.. now.. im not mathemetician, but doesnt that mean that we should shut out pretty much all big plays.. BUT IT DIDNT HAPPEN, there were missed tackles, open recievers, and blown coverage.. not to mention.. NO TAKEAWAYS IN 4 GAMES!!! unacceptable.. skins need to get on track on defense because i dont think they'll survive in shootouts, as good as the skins offsense is lookin this year.. they arent ready to support our entire team.. all im sayin is.. the defense needs to step it up, because the season is lookin good but we cant keep winning when we're givin the ball up more than we're takin it away...

No, obviously we are not. I would say that we are more like 8 or 9 in helping its team win games. We allow way too many big plays and we do not get turnovers.

stats are nice, but that's why they make you actually play the game.

The turnover situation baffles me, I mean how often do you see teams luck into a fumble recovery or a tipped ball just hang in the air for the defense


I also haven't seen us blitzing like we did last year, I think that factored into making QBs make quicker decisions last year, but now it seems like the QBs have time to go through progressions multiple times. This has to turn around sometime.

Yes we are 5th or better when we have all our starters on the field 100% healthy. Today if we had Springs things might of been a little different. He is a better cover guy and better tackler on the outside and better guy for blitzing the QB. Also if Clark was in there we would be better.
