Dear fans:

A majority of Redskins fans are upset with the loss this week. It's not just a loss, but how little heart or emotion was shown by the players. The fad phrase is; "We came up flat!" No single player can win or lose a game. It's a team effort, but with that in mind. I am curious which player are you most upset with following this week's poor performance?
2 of 12 on 3rd down for the skins, 0 of 2 on 4th, 38 yards rushing, 87 passing, only 1/3 of the game for possesion, 4 turnovers, 10 penalties for 88 yards.

Start with the number 1, go to 99; every player constituting a number in between I am upset with.

But, like they say, don't worry- I JUST SAVED A BUNCH OF $ ON MY CAR INSURANCE BY SWITCHING TO GEICO>

Everyone sucked. No passion, intensity, or focus. Mental mistakes everywhere. Hopefully the coaches will get their asses back in gear for Sunday. I do think being at home will help right the ship. Then again, it was just 1 game. It's not the end of the world, but the Redskins can't let it be the start of the end.

He's a good back, and all the rbs had a bad game except Rock 2 for 21 yards. The offensive line didn't make holes, but we didn't call but 13 rushing plays all game. The Dirtbags did allow 5 sacks, and a lot of hurries and pressure causing Brunells int.

Robert Royal takes the cake - 4 drops, 0 catches.

Close second is Ladell Betts. He was an embarassment on special teams. He bobbled & almost dropped 3 returns. The big one being he ran a return out of the endzone (always a bad idea) only to fumble it up to the Giants. And tried to run a 2nd out of the endzone where his own team mates damn near had to tackled him to keep him from doing it. There were other bad performances, but Royal & Betts were off-the-charts subhuman.

At least this week were at home, and at 4 -3 were still in it. New England is atop their div with a 4-3 record. Chicago is 4 -3 and top NFC North, and Tampa bay is tied for first at 5-2 but they lost to the 49ers. Other teams with our record, KC, Philly, Jacksonville, not to mention teams worse 4-4; SD, STLouis! My point is if we win at home against philly we will soon forget this one!

Here's my problem with this game. I've been listening to the postgame horrors and reading the Washington Post Articles that will appear in Monday's paper by Sally Jenkins "Giants Show Togetherness", Michael Wilbon "In a Funk After a Funky Effort", and Tony Kornheiser "See What Condition My Prediction Is In". Statements about Antonio Pierce giving the rundown of G. Wms. defense to the team and his bitterness about the salary situation when he was with the Skins. How do you think the familiarity of the X-skins players experience with the Skins hampered the outcome of this game? It's my opinion that it had a helluva lot to do with it.

I voted for the entire offensive line, but looking back it's really the whole team. The guy's looked sluggish and played very sloppy football. The numbers prove it.

This game was one of the most scarriest Halloween shows I've watched this weekend.

The entire team is at fault for this one.

That being said...............
No worries though, games like that happen. The Giants played a great game and handed us our butt. Give credit where credit is due. The seasons not over. Some people are jumping off the "Bandwagon"?? Good. Some people want the whole team fired? Someone who thought Moss was the next Jesus Christ last week now thinks he's overrated? Hey you know sometimes you lose football games, sometimes you lose big. I was very upset after the game also "YOU GUYS ARE THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF BUMS!!!! START THE FRIGGEN BUS!!" and that was at halftime. You move on and take it for what it's worth.

Are we going to beat the iggles next week? You bet, gonna win em all as far as I'm concerned. I also realise that this is impossible. Miami was a long time ago.

Y'all fairweather fans can jump off the bus, we aint got room anyway. See ya in Detroit. :soapbox:

The coaches, gave up on the run FAR too early and still playing worthless Holdman on defense as well. They needed to give Portis more than 4 chances (only 10 rushes total), that's just insane, we were just entirely too pass happy.

HOnestly, Betts usually plays pretty well. From the portions of the game I saw, he stunk up the joint pretty bad. Missed blocks mainly. Brunell didnt stand a chance for you guys today.

Why isn't St. Gibbs on the list?

Yeah, I know it isn't going to make me most popular poster here but I do think he should take the fall for this. When one player screws up - it's his fault. Two Screw up? -it's still something "local", on the personal level. But when it seems as if every single offensive play is pre-read by the opponent, when the defense, although giving it their all on the personal level, concede 36 points, that's when I know that we were out-coached, out-classed.

Let's go back to that terrific finale in Dallas a few games back. We only won because we went for big, gutsie plays (sorry - defense was great, kept us in the game). We only went for those gutsie plays because coach knew we had nothing to lose.
The same goes for our other comeback games. It's as if we had to be with our back to the wall for Gibbs to make good decisions.

It seems that we only stray away from very conventional schemes when we have nothing to lose. But they paid off, didn't they? So why keep on being so conventional when the score's still 0-0? Coach Gibbs, with all due respect, was read like an open pop-up book, the team walking into the opponents' well-planned ambush.

My vote would go to the entire team. They lost as a team. Noone had a good day they were all as flat as a team can be. You also have to take your hats off to the Giants. They played a perfect game against us. They brought there "A" game and we didn't even show up.

The only thing that really irked me is when they showed the Redskin sideline and I saw players laughing it up, they didn't give a crap. That was it for me. I figured why the Heck should I get so emotional and care so much if these morons are laughing it up on the sidelines.

I wish I had a still shot of those guys laughing it up. My blood was boiling at that time. I saw that and immediately I calmed down. I knew the game was lost at that point.

Warrick Holdman. He is a liability being out there. The Giants ran away from Marcus Washington's side the whole game just to run at him. He is a depth guy, not a starter. I dont know who to be frustrated at the most, but I am very bothered we didnt come out with any wrinkles considering 1 key player from each unit last year all left for the Giants.

Robert Royal in a landslide. Since I can't really ID one particular guy on the Offensive line because they all played terribly, Royal is the logical choice. Who drops 4 balls in a single game? I have never seen that, not even in pee wee football. If I was playing in my backyard I would pick Royal last. That' right, he is that terrible. I voted other since both the offense and defense were equally bad. Special teams was ok, except for Betts' fumble.

At the begining of the game the defense, gave up the long run, but then sut them down. AGAIN. WE GET A FUMBLE ON DEFENSE AND THEY RECOVER. You can only say bad luck so many times. We had a chance to get out of that first drive without giving up a point.

At 3-0, 6-0, and 13-0, I thought we still could have won. The defense was keeping us close, then it just died.

I guess I could change my vote to the offense. They never showed up today, an got embarrassed.

I hope Coach Gibbs makes this weeks practice hell.

I am not a Brunell Basher I believe he gave a lackluster performance. Granted the O-line wasnt very good, but he had up to 5 seconds to throw a ball most of the time and he wouldnt pull the trigger. Ramsey did same thing. Throw the ball away.

It doesnt look like we are hitting recievers on their route we are waiting for the scramble.

Royal dropped 4 passes

Turnovers

D looked horrible, no killer instinct

need to prepare a lot better for Philly, They need to win as bad as we do. I really don't think the offense was a fluke the last few games but every Redskin fan saw a glimpse of last years offense.

Everyone, the defense made Tiki look like a hall of famer. Even when it was obvious the giants would run the ball it appeared we could not stop them. He could have had 300 yards rushing if he wanted. The offense looked like a pop warner team. They didnt even look professional to me. no, no, no.... This is a backyard football level collapse. High school kids are too concerned with getting chicks to play this poorly. No wins = no chicks. Pee Wee level kids are too afraid of their step-fathers to play like this. No wins = beatdown from stepfather. It's true that the QB and the Head coach get all the glory when they win, and all the blame when they lose. Coach Gibbs is a football god in Washington. It's hard to say he's at fault. Example; The TD pass to Royal that was an easy catch, but droped. How is that the coach's fault? The 4 turnovers, and tons of dropped passes, poor tackle attempts, poor effort to block. The truth is the players had no heart or desire to win that game. Why? What happened in one week to make them not care?

I always say the players play the game, it's not always coaching. But the more i think about it, Coach Gibbs is the one to be upset with. Anytime a QB leaves with 3 qtrs of a game and a thirty something rating it's hard not to blame him, but in this case I don't find him at fault. When he was in the coach didn't run the ball, and the O-line wasn't giving him time to throw. He doesn't give up a lot of Ints because he's not a risk taker like Ramsey. Maybe we needed to take a bit of a risk, but the truth was the Gman had everyone covered during the 3 secs he had to throw. The Dirtbags really suck bad right now.

I can't say just one. This was lost by the ENTIRE team.

They all made mistakes yesterday. They all have to deal with it. They all lost together.

The only one I noticed playing well yesterday was Ryan Clark. So give him a little credit.

But still, this was a team loss and we shouldn't be pointing fingers on any one person.

I more upset with some of the fans on this board than I am at the team.

Really? In regards to what?

All of them.

My current thoughts on the Washington Redskins loss to the Giants!

The loss against the N.Y. Giants was so bad that you have to point blame. Maybe you start at the O-Line, or the QB. You vent, but your still hurt for having to go through the emotional roller coaster. You then turn blame to the coaches, but after that is done. You get some phone calls or emails from Giants fans that pour salt on the wounds. You then blame the owner, but where does the blame game end? Do you blame the media? Write post about how they are getting you down. Should we blame the fans for not buying enough Giant tickets and cheering for them? The truth is nothing is going to make that loss feel right. Nothing but a win. The Redskins owe it to their fans to play smart, hard nose football this week. Everyone in the Redskins organization that accepts money from the profits of the fans has the duty to show that reputation of the organization is at stake. Die hard fans are actually scratching their heads for the first time since Joe Gibbs came back, and I don't think it's fair to Gibbs. These players need to show some heart, and some loyality to Gibbs, and to us fans! Let's show our support this week, and let them know we will not falter after just one bad game.

The entire team sucked Sunday. Wasn't this game for the divisional lead? How in the hell did these guys show up and play the way they did? They had to know NY was going to play their best game with their owner dying. To see so many dropped balls, so many sacks, a offense that could not score against the 31st ranked defense. By the way, there are only 32 teams in the league. It was the most disgusting game I have seen. How can a offense not score a point against a defense like that. We made them look like the best defense in the league. I would say the offensive line, and receivers stunk up the place the worst, but its close with the defense giving up a score on every drive. What a difference a week can make. From blowing out a team to getting shut out. Helter Skelter team. If they show up Sunday with malaise again, this season is over.

I agree. Some of the fans on this board have been completely ridiculous. I guess that's what a loss like this does; brings back all the chicken littles. Nothing you can do about that.

Add me. I like being realistic, open-eyed, and analytical, and definitely calling a garden implement a garden implement. There's always plenty to critique on the 'skins, or most any other team. But, keeping it real, I sure find it easier as a fan to smile at a real constant homer than a real constant despairo.

I also reserve the right to be on a sliding-scale of homerism depending on the situation. :D

What I have a hard time relating to is the myopic, constant, all-knowing (yet often ingnorant), anti-fan who seems to be primarily interested in wallowing in despair and hopelessness under the guise of "telling the hard truth". But it must get them the pay-off they seek, whether I get it or not, or they'd cease doing it. :2cents:

I said other. If I was suppost to pick 1 person or 1 unit, I cant. I honestly felt it was the whole team, across the board. Coaches, Offense, Defense, Special teams, Waterboy, Teamdoctors, comunications team..................................That was then...this is now. Eagles are in 4 days.

I am happy that no one has picked Chris Cooley in this poll. He tried hard, and after having a possible hip injury that could have destoryed his season he got right back into the game. He's got heart and skill.

I blame the cheerleaders! I mean why didn't they get the N.Y. Giant fans to cheer for us? In a town where scores has one guy sueing for being charged over 240k in one single night, why not taking off their tops when Giants were on offense? It could've made a difference...
Joking of course...

How much did the death of their owner affect our players? When I saw the news I told my wife that we would lose. It never crossed my mind otherwise. In a largely psychological game, that gave the Giants every motivation they needed, but something seemed to drain our players too and I can't help thinking they looked as if they didn't want to win on Sunday.
