I do not know if anyone else noticed it but Ramsey ran out onto the field as the game expired. He went up to Brunell and gave him a big hug. He was so happy for Brunell. It was so genuine, it gave me goosebumps. Ramsey has been through a lot this year after losing the starting position. He is a true professional.

I noticed that too, but not only at this game, he's been the same way in several other games too. He genuinely supports Brunell and he's even called him his friend before. I especially like it whe he jumped up and down with jubilation with Brunell.
Patrick is a true class act guy and one of my favorite Pro Players. It was a privilage to meet him his first day with the team. (He got tied to the goal post that day.)
Another thing I noticed about him tonight, was during a important play that we needed, the camera flashed on in him, and He had the most determined serious look in his eyes I think i've ever seen from a player on the sideline. I love that kind of stuff!
Love Ramsey too. He's a great person.

When the play clock was winding down Ramsey was trying to tell Brunell to call a timeout, if anyone remembers that when the play clock like malfunctioned.

Ramsey is a classy Redskin, right up there with Darrell Green, (my fav) I believe him and Brunell are true friends, I read somewhere they hunt together!!

Taking skills out of the equation for the two, you cant but notice how geniunley excited and happy for each other Brunell and Ramsey are. Ramsey has always beern a class act, and I really think thats why people like myself defend him to the degree we do. When you get a athlete like him or Brunell, you just really want to see them succeed.

I love Ramsey as a person and I think that he needs to learn how to read a defense better, I think he is genuinely happy for the team, not just Brunell. I think his serious looks on the sidelines has to do with him visualizing himself in Brunell's possition and looking to see how the defense gives different looks. He looks to be studying Brunell, which as the younger backup QB is exactly what he should be doing. He holds no hard feelings for his not being on the field, he is studying and trying to learn what he needs to learn in order to get back out there.

I love him too. Hope he finds a good home next season where he can try and become a solid starting QB.

Ramsey is a good guy. He has been frustrated due to so many changes since he became a skin. I think he could learn a lot from Brunell, and will be a great QB in the future, hopefully for the Redskins. I do not want to trade him, unless it is for a couple of fantastick defensive lineman, or someone who can block better than Samuels. Bad knee or not, he is not the same lineman he was a couple of years ago.

Ramsey appears to have a good head on his shoulder and is going to have a chance to be a starting qb in this league.
Unfortunately, it will probably be in another NFL city.

Yeah, I like Ramsey as the backup.
We have a great QB situation and even in the offseason I would not trade Ramsey unless we got a deal that blew our socks off, which I doubt happening.

I really like the friendship that our 2 QBs seem to have developed. You can tell that Ramsey cares about this team and Brunell. I think the same could be said for Brunell last year when he was the backup and Ramsey was starting.
This is definitely not the dynamic I was expecting this season. I was excited to have a young Ramsey QBing and the old veteran Brunell as the advisor. But this works...

I noticed it too. If you guys recall Brunell was the same way last year as well.

Ramsey is a class act and deserves all the praise he is getting here. Ramsey is also seriously pissed because the two teams that he liked had SERIOUS interest in aquiring him (Miami and NY Jets) before the trade deadline...and Gibbs turned them down. Ramsey is class but he is not happy.

I agree with you Ross3909.... he is being a class act but i am sure he can't wait to get an opportunity somewhere else... He is definitely the best back up QB in the NFL and better than most other QBs who are currently starting for other teams...

Just my two cents, but I think this is not the case. I think P-Ram may have asked for a trade while heated over losing the starting position, but I think he has since cooled off. I don't think he would want to be under center in NYJ, SF, or miami right now. Well, maybe miami - but the other organizations are just killing qbs. I think Ramsey sees this team is special, and is happy in his current position. I totally agree that he'd rather be starting, but I think he'd rather be with a winning team then be sacked 8 times a game again.
I could be wrong, but I think the guy is too smart and too classy to take the first offer that comes his way. We all know that Brunell is having a good year, but he certainly doesnt have 2 or 3 more years in him.
Anywhoo just my opinion, but best wishes to patrick wherever he lands.:point2sky

Total team player. You have to respect him.

He's the backup I want to have. If bad things happened and Brunell had to sit out some games, he would give us a chance to win. And he supports his teammates off the field. I've never been disappointed in his attitude or effort.

yeah i def think that ramsey should stay and develop still, hes still young and no offense like others have said brunell is getting old, and i think if he stays and learns more he'll be great for our future. Dont trade ramsey just yet. If there's room let him stay.

All 3 of our QB's seem to be class acts. Hopefully, Ramsey and Campbell learn a lot about leadership and poise from "old man" Brunell.

He throws a lazer of a pass too. Last week in the giants game when he threw that bullet to Thrash I was like what? After watching Burnell the whole game and then seenig that it reall showed off his arm strength.

Yep. Ramsey genuinely supports Brunell - and its not the first time. He's involved in every game and he clearly sees Brunell as a good friend. I think Ramsey makes the ideal back-up in a lot of ways. Talented enough to step in if the situation arises, and honestly, I don't think he responds particularly well to the pressure of being 'the guy'. He always seemed to me to play significantly better coming off the bench. I doubt he'd ever 'settle' for being a back-up, but he could do far worse, and he could learn a lot from Brunell.
I've been hard on him in the past when I thought his agent was playing games, but its hard not to recognize unselfish, team-first behavior when you see it every game. I respect Ramsey a whole lot - not many guys in his situation would show that kind of support and genuinely care about their team.

For the most part the Redskins have always had class acts. I really like ramsey, and was angy when he got benched. I thought he has gotten a raw deal since he has been here, and I would like to see him do well. If its with our team great if not, I hope he does well.

I am with you. I haven't given up on Ramsey. He had a bum deal starting out with Spurrier. He never had a chance to develop an ability to read defenses because they were running over him like a mack truck before he could blink.
I think he's just now getting to watch a true pro in action. God, I wish Ramsey would learn how to throw it away like Brunell when there's nothing there and put some "touch" on the ball. I am certain Brunell will help him anyway he can if he goes down and Ramsey has to come in.
Ramsey has experience, Jason Campbell is green as a pine tree right now. I would rather keep Ramsey than trade him.

You watch! If he gets the opportunity to contribute this season, I guarantee he'll come up big. He wants to see this team win.

I think that was part of his problem in preseason. If you remember, he underthrew quite a few passes bacause I think he was trying to vary his speed. But if we need to get the ball downfield, I think he's just the gunslinger to do it. He does have a gun.

Ramsey has never been on the winning side of things, now he's experiencing it, and he doesnt want to let it go, no matter who is at QB

If we could just transplant Brunell's brain into Ramsey's body we'd have a killer QB!

Classy move, Pharoah Ramsey. Gotta remember to write about that in my blog. Patrick's had few missteps and it's a shame we hear about loudmouths like TO on SportsCenter all the time instead.

I know on gameday I and several others posted about that hug, and we all thought it was typical of those guys and "who" this team is becoming. I think there's real and valid understanding for what troubled emotional reactions PR has had, among the coaches and the team, and that is as it should be, without yielding any justification of their decision.
PR being the good guy he is, does calm down and tries to be the quality "employee". I believe Gibbs unreservedly when he openly and regularly praises Ramsey's character and other attributes, and I find such comments as free from contradiction with Gibbs' position on who starts.
There's aslo something I've said here before, and paraphrasing Gibbs', as we go into 2006-7, PR's play for the Redskins has another chapter that has not been written.

If it turns out that you are right, something else will have gone wrong.
Gibbs doesn't have Ramsey in his plans. A healthy Brunell will start until Jason Campbell is ready. If Campbell isn't ready for at least a backup role next season, we've most likely wasted three picks.

We wasted 3 picks anyway. No one short of a Manning is worth 3 picks.. Especially with the crop we got coming out this year, I will still never agree with.

Agreed. Ramsey is showing a lot of good character right now. He has taken the highest of high roads, accepted his back up qb role, and is preparing himself for when he is needed.

I know it is a pipe dream, but I would love to see P Ram re-sign again next year, as the quarterback to take over for Brunnell when he is done. And to be the mentor for a young Jason Campbell for 2-3 years continuing the winning ways.

PR is awesome. And this description you give here as someone better off the bench fits what I thought about Frerotte (the talent level is not the same though, I think PR has him beat on talent and intelligence - head-butt, 'nuff said).
