So since we lost to Miami...does that mean if both the Hokies and the Canes win out...does Miami get a nod for the Champ game bc they beat us???

Yep - Miami beat us... that gives them the heads up tie breaker vs. Tech.

If they slip - we go to the championship game.

That's the only hope right now and I don't see it happening
