HAHAHA, Vtech lost their season opener to Bowling Green yesterday, after one of their players tipped in the basket on his own hoop at the buzzer, as Vtech lost by 1 point! What a way to start the season and the young guy's career!

We're starting lame threads now just to ridicule VT's non-existent roundball program?
Talk about pathetic.
Sorry, guys, it won't somehow demean the football program even if you talk lame trash about Tech's junior varsity curling team. :)

figures a Wahoo would have the nature to make fun of something that must have been a hurt like that to a kid... anything to make them feel better about the loss to Tech on the gridiron...
By the way - what is the next game for the curling team at home? ::grin::

looks like the non-conference roundball sked and the future non-conference football sked are pretty similar. :D

Sorry amigo, this thread is about basketball. Although I understand why you would want to try and make it a football thread, as you did above. Shall we talk about FSU?
Good luck this year in basketball, BTW.

Sorry right back, amigo. There's an old saying, "don't piss down my back and tell me it's rainin'."
Very few people indeed without agendas would waste the time starting or piling on in a thread about VT's alleged basketball program at this point (or at least they wouldn't have before VT had Duke on a nine-count at Cameron).
So if you're gonna be one of them, for heaven's sake at least have the courage of your convictions and admit it. :)

VT basketball actually is not so bad. Which made the home opener the more surprising. Otherwise, I imagine this thread would never have been started.
Happy to see that Om has come around to acknowledging the basketball theme of this thread. I knew you could do it, amigo.

sure, go ahead, but dont forget this team is built up of sophomores and freshmen, under a first year coach, who is drastically different in comparison to their previous coach... not to mention their best player, an all acc team member as a sophomore, best pg in the acc, was out of the game.

theres no doubt that we suck right now. there are no legitimate excuses at this point. game shouldn't have ever been that close no matter what the situation. but trust me, by the end of the season we will have a .500 team, we will get rolling late

The officials blew the call in the Bowling Green game and they should have upset Duke! VT can play hoops!
