I'll start it off by saying I want to go home and hide under the blankets. I will stand strong for my skins though!! No amount of hatred could tear me away!!!!!

Actually Monday's really dont suck to bad after a loss.....we had a thread like this last week and I am able to brush these losses off really easily these days...now what does piss me off is the fact i paid $200 for the Sunday Ticket to watch our beloved skins stink the joint up

I remember feeling this way going back to 4th grade. I was able to shake the post-loss blah for a while, mostly during my college years. Now I'm in the working world, living in San Francisco, and it totally sucks when we lose now! Especially since Gibbs came back, with my hopes so high. It was funny this weekend...I went on a pre-marriage retreat with my fiancee. We talked about many things, and it was a great experience. Funny thing though, at one point she even brought up how the 'skins fortunes on Sunday have a huge effect on our day. It's pretty true, and it's pretty ridiculous. We came out of the retreat yesterday at about 4pm PST. I turned on my phone, which is set up to receive text message game updates. They started trickling in, chronologically. Once I saw that we got to the half up 13-3, I figured the game was pretty much clinched. Then the rest of the messages came in, and I was so pissed. I had to temper it though, trying my best to talk myself through it, reminding myself that they are just a team that I cheer for, and this has no real impact on my life. Still sucks though!! Now I've lowered my expectations, taking the approach that we're out of the playoffs (again!), and anything positive that happens the rest of the way is a pleasant surprise. Or at least I'm trying to take that approach. Of course, there's a part of me down there that knows we should make the playoffs if we run the table, or maybe suffer only 1 more loss. Maybe a San Diego loss would be a good thing...at least it would put me out of my misery!
By the way, my fiancee is a Raiders fan.

Bah. I live in NorCal. Raider territory.
My Monday sucks. In fact, my whole week will suck. It'll be all they talk about on the sports radio stations.
