I think I remember hearing before the 1999 Sugar Bowl that the Hokies have never beat the Seminoles. I know that the have meet once after that in the 2001 Outback Bowl that FSU won.
Time to change the trend in Jacksonville. :kungfu:

The Hokies will punish FSU. I'm sorry, but 'nuff said.

You mean to say Beamer has never defeated Bowden
Well Bowden won't have Peter Warrick and Chris Weinke next Saturday

Should be a slaughter. But if FSU wins, this is gonna be a real bad year for the ACC
Not that I'm not rooting for them :)

I don't know about sucks... but they are having a year like Tech did a couple of years ago when we lost one then lost a bunch.
They did beat Miami early on, which makes them no slouch, and I would imagine Bowden will have them up for this game.
The minute we have no concerns about a game is the minute I get really concerned about the game :)

Even if VT wanted to lose, you know the BCS will make sure the refs get the tip that theres no way they want FSU repping the ACC in a BCS bowl. ;)
I'm kidding. If the Hokies show up with the intensity they've displayed the past couple of weeks they should win with a fairly comfortable 10-14 point margin.
But I don't know, I am a bit worried. FSU coming off 3 straight losses will be tough. I'm sure Bowden will have his boys ready.

That is exactly what I am afraid of! :fingersx:

there's a first time for everything. I was at both the 2000 Sugar and 2002 Gator Bowls against FSU. IT IS TIME!! We roll them in the second half.

Well, even WE beat them, so...

The only real concerns I have are
1) VT showing up with a fat head, which still seems to happen from time to time, and/or
2) Marcus having another first half like he did against MD and again last week against NC, and the running game not being able to bail him out like it did those 2 games.
That said ... as a Hokie who has a pretty critical eye about his fledgling national power school, and has never shied away from expressing doubts/concerns when I saw them, I feel pretty good about this one. The history against FSU in a couple of really big recent games ought to provide more than enough juice for them to show up with fire in their bellies.

Anyone think the game being played in FL will give any advantage to FSU?
If anything it could be a disadvantage, since Jacksonville is closer to the University of Florida which means the "neutral" fans that go may be Gator fans and will just boo FSU for the hell of it.

According to reports I have heard there are more Hokie fans who have tix than FSU fans :)
