It could be worse. This team could be terrible, with no prospects on the herizion, best player being Jeff Conine, and Cliff Floyd not taking your money.

nobody wants to come here because we have made no real effort to get a staff ace and our pitching has been the problem for years. Pitchers don't want to come here because the ballpark is such a hitters park and real good hitters don't want to come here because they want to go to teams that have proven they can win or have proven they can win if they just have that little bit of offensive boost....
Bottom line, we won't do well untill we overpay for a pitcher to come in here and get our team respectable again

I think once the young ones ( bedard , cabrera, ray ) develop, other free agents will see how the team actually has pitchers. If those guys develop ,two more quality pitchers can get us at least a fighting chance at the division. Plus we have an awesome pitching coach. :applause:
