How many watched the Giants game in unbelief at the atrocious tackling of KC ?
Sorry, but Tiki did not break tackles in that game. Rather KC defenders just bounced off of him, and laid down. It was the most pathetic display of attempted tackling I have ever seen. Tiki is over-rated. (Just like Eli Manning is over-rated. Rush Limbaugh said it best when he said that the media over-glorifies Eli, because the media really wants to see him succeed, so we can see a Brother vs Brother Super Bowl, between Indy and NY.) Tiki can be contained, and will be contained by our defense. Because this Indian team isnt like the one in KC. These Indians know how to wrap arms around a guy and body slam him into the FedEx turf and mud. How about a chant of WE WANT GIANTS !!

Tiki isnt overrated, he is underrated and i would say he is probably the 3rd or 4th best RB in the NFL. He has two 200 yard games this season, and is a very productive RB that knows how to cutback, and make defenders miss. He has been a consistent 1,000 yard per season back, and is as good as any other back in the league (besides LT and Shaun Alexander). He is probably the person i am most afraid of this Saturday. Eli Manning has been awful on the road, and he has been playing atrocious over the past few weeks, and everything has been up to Tiki. He is the one who has come through with the big plays that have given the Giants the spark to win these past few games, not Eli. If we contain Tiki, we win the game. Simple as that. Eli is coming to our house, on the road, and will feel the same pressure Bledsoe felt yesterday. If we play like we have the past few weeks, defensively, and Portis and the Offense play the way they did against Dallas, we will win big. We have to get turnovers, and stop the giants o to win

Tiki usually has bad games against us. Last time, the whole Giants squad was emotionally charged at the Meadowlands. If you stay home and stick to your gap responsibility, then Tiki comes back down to Earth. He likes to hide behind his pulling linemen and then play peek a boo to break the big ones. Gregg Williams will have something cooked up for this week. I believe.

Tiki is playing lights out this season, but yeah the KC tackling was just an embarrasment, as is that defense. How we lost to them is beyond me

Anyways back to Tiki. The knock on Tiki for much of his career was his fumbling. Besides this he has always been a very solid back, and this season has been absolutley on fire. And since he has figured out how to carry the football, he is having his best season ever

Hopefully the D has learned from that game up in Giants land. Part of it seemed that the Giants knew exactly where to attack us and which holes to hit. That won't happen this time

Hopefully Lavar is back, and with the crowd noise this weekend, the Giants will not get the jump on the snap that is critical to winning the line of scrimmage.

They have also been prone to false starts as well as holding calls, which could be a factor with the crowd noise that we will have on Saturday

Our D-line is playing its best ball of the season right now. If the crowd is in it, the Giants o-line could have a very long day

1) I respect Tiki. (Well, him and his team.)

2) We don't just have to stop him, we have to stop him without taking people away from the pass defense.

(That's one of the things that makes the Giants dangerous: They have multiple weapons.)

Can we stop him? Yes.
Can we stop Eli? Sure.
Can we stop both of them at once? Tune in next week. Same Bat-time. Same Bat-channel.

if we can put the pressure on Eli, he will collapse. He doesnt play well away from home and if Fedex can get a rockin like this past week, we can get in his head and we can take his legs right out from under him

I respect Tiki Barber. There's no reason to fear him. Just respect him. If he thinks he's going to come to Fed Ex Field and rip off 50 yard runs, he has another thought coming. In the games at Giants stadium where Tiki had his 200 plus yard games this season, there were a lot of missed tackles and defense players not hustling to the ball.

Tiki can be shut down. I don't know what Greg Williams game plan is, but if the defense can turn off the lights on Marion Barber and Julius Jones, then he can do the same with Tiki Barber.

remember the giants game at fedex last year? the EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII jeers from us as our d knocked him silly. watching eli's response to greg williams defense was like watching a cowboys fan trying to cash an unemployment check - both sad and yet somehow satisfying.

Guys, some things to consider about why he looked so damn good last week:
1.) They were playing in the Meadowlands--home field advantage
2.) Chiefs defense sucks at tackling and has sucked all year long

Why we will stop him:
1.) This game determines playoffs or no playoffs
2.) We looked SICK on defense last night
3.) We have home field advantage
4.) Payback for the shut-out

We are going to kick their asses.

tiki took advantage of our defense overpusuing. i hope we stay in our lanes this week. almost how we played barry sanders in the 91 playoffs.

If they put the heat on Eli that they did on Drew then Tiki won't matter so much. The front four getting to the QB is the key for us.

I'm not about to pretend that a back that put up 200+ yards last week, and 200+ yards against the Skins earlier in the season, is just some overhyped fluke...Barber is a legitimate threat. The Skins were embarassed by him in the first game, and I hope that embarassment causes the coaches and players to gameplan and play to perfection this time around.

By the way, was Griffin injured in the first Giants game?...Did he play much?

In the first game, they tore us up on the left side of the line...I'm sure the coaching staff will look long and hard at that this time.

Against Dallas, that was the best defensive effort I EVER remember seeing, and I have watched the last 380 games! All the sudden we have a pass rush? Alot of those sacks were actually "coverage sacks" which is surprising considering our secondar injuries.

I say we stack the line and make Eli beat us. I'll take my chances with our secondary vs their receivers rather than let Tiki run wild.

You're drunk and dillusional. Tiki has been one of the top running backs in the league consistently...look at his stats. He always does well against us. He kicked our ass last time we played too. I sure do hope like we play like we did yesterday because we're going to need it if we want to shut Tiki down.

The skins were not able to get any pressure last time & Tiki had 200yds. What is the difference on the field now?

Tiki Barber is a great RB. He's at the top of his game and the Giants are feeding him the ball. While the Skins should not be scared of him, they should be greatly concerned with him.

Yes Tiki is a very good back. Yes he had a very good game against us. Can it happen again? Sure. Can we shut him down? Sure. We held Priest Holmes to 18 yards on 14 carries. We held the combo of Caddilac, Pittman, & Alstott to 56 on 24 carries. So, the D can stiffen up. Having Griff back is huge.

Hopefully our O can get us an early lead, and force the Giants to throw more than they want to. Let the D line tee off again.

i aint afraid of him. it seems like tiki consistently rushes for 2 and 3 yard games, but every game breaks off a couple big runs that inflate his numbers. with the way the skins defense has been playing and as good as the tackling has been, tiki wont get more than 1 big play. i think we keep him down around 100 yards, and thats including a 30 yarder or so he'll prolly break.

Tiki if anything is underrated. As many posters here said, he is having a phenominal year, and has only fumbled once all season.

You can make all the excuses you want, that they where playing inspired football, that we over pursued, etc... but I dont understand how you can smack talk a RB that is leading the NFL in rushing and had a 200 yard rushing day against us in the first game.

Tiki is a very good player, but I feel real good about our run defense right now.

Bottom line is if we play like we did against Dallas last week will will beat the Giants. I jsut hope we can sustain that level of play for the rest of the season.

tiki can be good, but in our recent past, tiki has had fumblitous and been a not so good runner......this year is different so respect that and put lots of pressure on eli and we have a W. Our O needs to show up and our D against dallas needs to show, then we shall surely have a W

to be honest tiki is the ONLY thing im afraid of! no doubt in my mind the skins will TKE IT TO eli this week, lets remeber this is a young qb he ll look like it on sunday, i see both defenses with the same gameplan shut down the opposing teams run game.

The difference between the KC game and the Redskins game for Tiki, is Tiki actually had to play in all 4 quarters to gain 200+ against KC. He didn't sit out after the 3rd with us calling the dogs off

Bottom line Tiki's a big threat. We need to stay contained this saturday. If you give Tiki the slightest hole or cutback he will break it. If we can stay in our assignments we can stop the run game early and force them to pass. This will not be an easy task, since our D can be a little over aggressive at times. He could exploit that for the big runs. Lets crowd the box early and make Eli throw the ball with 90,000 screaming.

Question: Why do Skins fans think Eli doesn't play well on the road? This season, he's played better on the road than at home.

As far as the pass rush is concerned, the Giants have a good ol - and a very deep one. You may get some pressure, but you won't get it without a lot of blitzing. And if there's one thing about Eli, he's smart. If you blitz and don't get there on time, he'll make you pay.

Look, I'm not trying to troll here. You've got a very good team playing at home and coming off an impressive victory. But don't underestimate the Giants. We're 10-4 and handled you very well on both sides of the ball last time we played. On the other side of the coin, you beat us pretty bad the time before. I think we'll have a good, hard fought, well played game to watch on Saturday - one that will be in question until the end. This may turn out to be the most exciting game of the season for both teams. That's what nfl football is about.

Eli has sucked the last three games. He's thrown 2 TD's and 6 INT's. His average QB rating over those same games is 52.2. His rating against us last time? 51.3 :)

Barber just had yet another 200 yard rushing game.
Which proves my point, ONCE AGAIN, that 80 yards is shutting him down.
