Washington (-7) at Philadelphia

After a stretch of the season in which the Redskins went 1-4 after a 4-2 start, the Redskins have won their past four games and should win their fifth straight game Sunday, sending coach Joe Gibbs to the playoffs.

Redskins 24, Eagles 20

I just don't see how that makeshift Beagles Offense is going to put up a 20 spot on our Defense...just don't see it...

Jeff Zillgitt is an idiot.

If you read his Cowboys-Rams prediction, he apparently doesn't know that the Panthers-Falcon outcome also affects Dallas' playoff chances.

And if this Eagles offense scores 20 points then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Mike McMahon, the Eagles starting quarterback, in the past 4 games, his quarterback ratings are:

Seattle: 21.2
NY Giants: 63.3
Rams: 33.5
Cardinals: 48.9

Mike McMahon is one awful quarterback.

Please notice that the highest rating is a NFC East opponent.

Yeah; we limited the NY offense (3 or 4 times as potent as the Iggles) to 20 points -- I don't see Philly scoring that many. However, you gotta give them a TD for being at home...although that didn't help them against Seattle!!

That's more an indictment of the Giants than anything else.

i'm not discounting anyone right now.. there have been many times that players seem to break out against us.. I didn't think C.Simms would be that effective against us and we made him look like a superstar..

win 2-0 or 50-0.. .just win!!!!!!!!!!!

last 4 games, defense has given up 1 td a game, against better offenses

I'm gonna say we score 35 against a vastly inferior team (when compared to the last two conference teams we played).

35-14.

Aint no way they will score 20 on us, my prediction 33-10.

I'll go for 28-17, or maybe 21-10. Don't care, as long as we win! :)

I love the voice of reason. We have destroyed teams 2 times as good as the Bagels, and more people were certain that we would handle those teams, then they are that we will destroy this one. The Eagles are a shell of an NFL team. No Qb, No runningback, I think they even sat Kearse. Seriously, Extreme Skins could get together and beat the Eagles. I am not too worried about this week. Im worried that there is a chance that three could go from the NFC East, I dont like that scenario at all.

Eagles are NOT a vastly inferior team.
The defense is basically the same as last year, except for Lito Shepherd being out with an injury. Our recent strength, running the football, plays into one of their strengths: Trotter on run defense.
McMahon is NOT a terrible QB. Eagles offense has been stripped of its key offensive performers: WR, OT and RB. He does not have much to work with as a backup QB.
Having said that: Eagles offense should not score 20 points on our defense. If they do, we are not a playoff caliber team. Eagles could get a cheap TD on defense. Footballs take funny bounces sometimes. Plus as noted earlier, we have a tendency to make backup QBs into All-Pro players.

The fact that the Cardinals kept it close vs. us justifies this prediction by the USA today. We beat the Cards but its not like we dominated by any means.

Sometimes I get worried about which team will show up? The team that squeaked by the Cards, lost to the Raiders and got smoked by the Giants???

...or the team that pounded the Cowboys and Giants...as well as beat the Seahawks.

Im hoping the latter.

I think it will be closer than people want to believe.

Defense is playing its best ball right now. Against a bad QB, a small RB and a beat-up OL, Skins D will get a shut-out this week.

Skins 24
Eagles 0

With the way our defense has been playing, I wouldnt be suprised if we shut them out... Im sayin 24-3

Im going with 28-10. I dont see how the Eagles will score 20 with their "offense". Ill give the eagles one TD at the end of the game (like Dallas did) and a field goal in the beginning.

Lets just not take them to lightly. But we win 27-10

The Eagles are a team with nothing to lose. That alone should concern you. Look at the Skins in the last game against the Vikings last season. The Skins had injuries galore , no playoff hopes yet they ended the Vikings season. Anything can happen. Any given Sunday. I actaully had a gut feeling even before the Cowbum game. I actually told a friend that I had a feeling we'd beat the Cowbums & Giants and let up on the Eagles, Now I hope my gut feeling is wrong. :eaglesuck

Don't see them getting 20 especially considering they only scored 10 on us in the first game with McNabb and Westbrook playing. Skins - 24 Beagles - 10.

Well, didn't last year's Eagle team also have Corey Simon and Carlos Emmons? Mix in Sheppard being gone, Dawkins having a sub-par year, and I'd say this is a significantly different team on defense.

We need to jump on them early. The longer they stay in the game the more confidence they get. Put pressure on the QB from the start as we all expect and take the lead in the 1st qtr. There intensity will weaken with a strong start and double digit lead. By placing pressure on them early will keep the pressure of us in the 4th qtr.
