Here is an excerpt:
On its face, it would appear that consecutive dominant seasons from Washington at strong-side linebacker would complement the Redskins' biggest-name defensive player, weak-side linebacker LaVar Arrington, who for his first five years in the league was the most popular member of the team.
Instead, under Gibbs and Williams, Washington is becoming the face of the Redskins, at least in the opinion of the coaches, as Arrington's role has diminished. It is a reversal of fortunes that is not lost on Arrington, who last week said this would likely be his last season with the Redskins.

Until the fans turn on him during a contract negotiation or a call by his agent to renegotiate to match what Lavar made.

Open you eyes and SEE what is in front of you...
A selfish, stubborn, me first guy. In THE MOST critical week of the season, leading up to THE MOST critical game in 6 years, he decides to cause turmoil by speaking out about HIMself and HIS situation.
Let's finish the season first Lavar. Let's get this football team you love so much into the playoffs. When it's all said and done, and you left everything on the field, then you can cry poor and mouth off all you want. Until then, shut it!

If it was just the money it would be a whole different matter. It's his 'woe is me' attitude and big, untimely mouth that the fans don't like.
Fight for all the money you want... more power to you. But when you mess with my teams chances of making the postseason because you can't wait a few weeks to air your dirtly laundry... SEE YA!

Does it mess with the team's chances?
I don't know. That's been my bone of contention. Untimely and thus stupid, but I can't see a bunch of the guys sitting around worrying about this. The media blew it up but it's not as if he said he wouldn't play in the playoffs hard or called out his Qb and called him gay. I don't know, I guess that even though it's not a good thing, I don't buy into the media hype of it.

If your a professional, and Redskin, and all you care about is beating the Eagles this week... you don't say what Lavar said this week. Hurt the team or not, why would anyone want to take that chance?

Man, we have some wishy washy fans here in Washington!
Its like, all the media needs to do is post a story with a negative tone and out come the preachers and orators to talk about how bad a given situation is.
...Remember how much yal loved L. Coles? Now his name is despised.
...Remember Sean Taylor? Everyone was calling him the antichrist
...Remember Mark Brunell? We COULDN'T have a thread about him this offseason without almost everybody talking about his career is over.
...Shoot, we can go back to earlier in the season when Lavar was first benched. Everybody was starting a thread about how much they loved Lavar.
...Then Lavar went on the John Thompson show (which he's been doing for like 2 years now, a contractual obligation) and everybody got mad at him
...Then he started to play and out came the WE LOVE LAVAR threads!
Its like yal wishy washy fans are just changing your mind with the wind. And all we need is another story in the Post to have everybody hating M. Washington.
Lavar is a Redskin! Whatever happens this offseason is going to happen this offseason. But Lavar has said repeatedly that he loves being a Redskin. I mean, even in the interview he said that he wouldn't play anywhere else. THATS SOME LOYALTY!
And I know that the immediate response is, well if he wants to be a Redskin, then he should Renegotiate or give some money back. How often do you take pay cuts to keep your job? I mean, if Lavar leaves because of money issues. thats strictly business. Let the businessmen handle the business. THE JOB OF A FAN IS TO ENJOY THEIR TEAM!
Are you gonna not cheer when Lavar gets a tackle?
Are you gonna wish that they scored a TD instead?
Do you wish we play a dead body, or Warrick Holdman instead?
Its like yal are little pawns and the local writers are just positioning you to lead the fight so they can get a promotion. And yal are falling for it; thinking its being 'critical' of your team? It just saddens me.
