ESPN keeps showing parcells all over the place. They've been putting together montages of his days of yore with the giants, Pats and Jets.
I think this is probably based on inside information that Parcells is retiring.
If you watch the game, it looks like Bill Parcells appreciation day. i would appreciate it if he walked out on this cowboy team.

They're just hedging their bets.. it COULD be his last game and it's not like there's anything else meaningful about the game!

They don't know any more about Parcells than they do about Favre.

ESPN has been talking about the rumors that Parcells has stated somewhere, that he wanted to retire. I'm pretty sure that's why they keep showing him.

The Redskins just made the playoffs, and you're watching the Dallas game?
People in Dallas aren't watching the Dallas game.

It certainly has the feel of a farewell game. I hope he sticks around so Gibbs can catch up in their head to head.

I think part of the reason for beating the Parcells drum a bit hard tonight, might be that the game is meaningless. The only thing intresting about it is that it MIGHT be his last game.

Not until after the game, anyway.

Mort said Parcells was going to retire......he said the same thing about Gibbs and "health concerns" last year......BS until TUNA says otherwise.

I think the "rumor" about Parcells' possible retirement was started by Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Has anyone else had their fill of this guy?
He was the one who reported that Patrick Ramsey demanded a trade in week 2.
He was the one who reported last season that Joe Gibbs would retire, citing "health issues."
I think what he does is make educated predictions- predictions that have a PRETTY high probability of happening (such as Ramsey's alleged trade demand). If it DOES happen, he's on record as saying it first. If not...nothing happens to him.
Where's the accountability?

That was put together under the assumption that the Skins would win and the Boys would not get in the playoffs.
Had we lost and the they won I'm sure would would have seen another highlight reel.
Fortunately, we won, and Parcells not making the playoffs will force him into retirement.
As an aside, I think he's great coach.
As another aside, I hope Norvel takes over. What a tube steak piece of s***!

Oh, I watched a bit of it. I just wanted to hear the announcers say, "...of course, this game has no playoff implications now, the Cowboys having been eliminated earlier today by Washington's victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia..."
They said it several times, and on each and every occasion I let out a maniacal laugh and cavorted around the basement hooting and waving my beer.
There are worse ways to spend an hour...
