Hey this is a call out to all my fellow skins fans that have spent any time in Europe. Mr OrangeSkin was kind enough to give me some tips about Germany which I appreciated greatly. This brought up the idea that other wise ExtremeSkins fans would have some knowledge of the Old World.
Ive got the flights booked. Toronto to Amsterdam Oct 16/17 returning Nov 15. My tentative plans are that i will see Holland, Belgium, France and Germany. I am also looking at flying to Edinburgh, Belfast, Barcelona and Geneva as ive seen flights as low as 22 Euro (roughly $US22) and the high of 79 Euro for one ways from Amsterdam to these locations. I shall take the train through Germany, hoping to hit Munich, Hamburg, Berlin. France will just be the north, Paris and Normandy.
This is very rough and if there is some place i just MUST see then point me in that direction. Thanks for any help. Oh and I will be sure to smoke lots of bud in Amsterdam and hopefully snag some foreign chicks.

My name isn't scholz for nothin' The south of Germany is the most beautiful part. Bavaria and Baden Wurttenburg (the province which Stuttgart is the capital of) are arguably the most beautiful parts of Germany. I really enjoyed my time in the Black Forest. It's fun to just kind of ramble through there either by train, car or foot and just go where the wind takes you. The prices on hotels there are decent (by Western European standards.) The air and the scenery is beautiful there. One town I really like in the Black Forest is Calw. But probably my favorite town in Germany is Bamberg. Go to the old part of the city and it's incredible. I guess what I really liked about it was how many old buildings there were yet how few tourists there were. Unlike Rothenburg or some other other touristy towns. Take a walk around the main Cathedral and the old Monestary and you are in for a good time. The monks brew a red beer up there that is pretty potent. If you are taking a boat ride on the Rhine, be sure to check out Bachrach. I kind of stumbled upon it, but was very impressed. Lots of old half-timbered bulidings with a waterfall running through the middle of the town. Very cool...
If you are in Austria, be sure to check out Hallstatt. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Munich is cool, I lived there for about 7 months, but the areas surrounding Munich are better than the city itself. If you want to see a cool big city in that region, check out Vienna. Berlin is also very interesting, especially if you are into WWII history. My father is from there so I have spent a good amount of time there, but I would still take a trip to the south over a trip to Berlin any day.
Amsterdam is a great town. Even if you don't smoke pot and aren't looking for a hoooker. The canals are great, and it is one of the greatest cities in the world if you like art. Between the Van Goch museum and the Reiksmuseum (sp?) you can't go wrong.
I'm jealous of you, man. There is nothing I love more than travelling to Europe. Have a good time and don't get into too much trouble. You can PM me if you have any more questions.

I'm a fan of Eastern Europe, because it's really cheap, and you really feel like you are in a different culture.
Western Europe is cool, but you get a lot of the same amenities and pop culture that you get here.
Prague is a beautiful city. Budapest is a lot of fun. Both cities have gorgeous women that aren't stuck up. Both are pretty cheap.

Also, Iceland is one of my favorites. Went there 2 yrs. ago. Fun people, few tourists, beautiful good-humored women, fascinating history and culture.

I agree 100%! Eastern Europe is awesome. I was blown away by the women in the Slovak Republic. We seriously thought there was a model convention going on when we were in downtown Bratislava. We did a hike in the Tatry mountains from the Slovak republic into Poland that was incredible. The skiing might be good there in November. But I must agree with you Riggo, Eastern Europe is a blast. Prague and Budapest are great, although Prague is getting as or more touristy than Western Europe.

Denmark, man. Been to Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, Spain, etc. and basically all over the place in Europe. You want beautiful women and beautiful scenery? I say either Denmark or Czech Republic (Prague, specifically).
Damn, I loved those Danish women!!!

Speaking of NFL Europe. Which players do you think the Skins will allocate to NFL Europe.
IMO, Skaggs will soon need to brush up on his German. I see the Frankfurt Galaxy in his near future.

Romo,
If you go to Belgium, be sure and take a day and see Bruges.
If you go to Munich, an absolute must see is Neuschwanstein Castle, just outside the city.
If you do end up passing though Austria, I would actually recommend Salzburg for a day (but only a day).
Zermatt in Switzerland is gorgeous (where the Matterhorn is), but Switzerland is VERY expensive.
My favorite cities are Venice and Prague, but I'm guessing you won't get to either of them this trip. And yes, Eastern European women are babes, mainly because they dress up the way men want to see them, as opposed to showing off some artificial "fashion sense" developed by gay western men. French women are typically tire-biters by contrast.
If you're into castles and such (my favorite thing), there are two main places in Europe to find a lot of them. One is the Loire Valley in France. The other is the Aosta Valley in Northern Italy near the French border. Again, it looks like neither of these is exactly on your way, and a car is really needed to see them thoroughly.
Some sound advice for you:Head down to your local bookstore and pick up a copy of Let's Go Europe. The Let's Go series are written by college students, and are by far the best travel books. Trust me, you won't regret it!!!

Amsterdam and Switzerland were the coolest for me. But, that was a long time ago.
Make the best of it because you might not ever make it back there again (not to be negative or anything). :fortune:
