Everyone here points to the coach, however he has two good playes to use and that is it. This team has no one you can depend on. We need to make a trade to turn this season around.

Losing Hughes really hurt their offense and defense, Haywood and Jamison needed to elevate some in order to make up for it, but they have not. Arenas can't do it by himself. No playoffs for the Wiz.
Don't worry, it's not like my Bulls are doing a whole lot better, there are 3 point guards in the starting lineup. Our problems are quite common, size.

I really think no one could figure out how to play with Gil, the only person who really understood him was Larry, that is why they were so great together. Even if he is suffering from his annual broken something or other, Larry was more invaluable than we ever would know.
Sure this team needs to defend at least 20% of the time, and Antawn could hit a shot or two for once instead of bricking 20 shots a game.
I also think when Haywood is on (which is a rare "is") the team wins. Simple as that.
While I sometimes feel like Eddie is the problem, I think firing him will set the wiz back much further than trying to finish the season with him. Great coaches do not just arrive.
See my five-point plan for more details.
Daniels started last night, the wiz won. Has to mean something. They'll turn it around. five games under isnt the end of the season yet.

This teams needs to develop and play Blatche. He could be a future star in this league, plus the teams needs some size with talent. Play Taylor and Storey more.
This team this year is better of being in the loterry, develop Blatche, and build around Gilbert and Caron. Trade jJefferies, trade Hayes, even trade Haywood.

Taylor and Blatche need serious minutes.....they are going to be very good and very quickly. Storey I am not sold on yet.....I said, "yet".....
Trade AJ, possibly JJ, Wood, maybe Hayes and definitely Atkins.....Get some low post defensive players that can score when needed....and a couple of guards thrown in for good measure

OK listen people.
there is no trade short of Kevin Garnett for Jarvis Hayes's kneecap, three slices of MCI Center Papa Johns pizza and the rights to the Washington Mystics franchise that is going to rescue this team. Artest is not coming here, which may be a good thing, and no one is going to take Antonio Daniels, Chucky Atkins or Jared Jeffries for anything other than body parts.
After three straight dubs (two courtesy of the squaks) we should be focusing on how this team is putting things together, both offensively and defensively. Sure Blatche and Taylor are showing signs, but these guys are very green. An undrafted free agent and a 2nd-rounder are not going to fire up the squad to championship levels. Its easy to get swayed by their potential, but you don't want them starting games, turning the ball over and not boxing out at critical moments.
Losing Jarvis (again) hurts. but Daniels resurgence and the Haywood-Jamison benching I think have strengthened this team.
We got this

The ship is starting to righten itself....it takes awhile to build chemistry and hopefully the team is building some now. I think EJ has earned the right to finish coaching this season and if EG thinks that a trade would better the team now and in the future I trust his judgement.

Antonio Daniels is starting to come around.. it takes time to adjust.
We have so much talent on this team that it's hard to get a steady rotation.
Donell Taylor and Andray Blatche are really good players.. they need more playtime
Jefferies is not the answer in the starting lineup.
Give it some more time... they've won 3 in a row now... lets see how they play against Philly.

The main problems with the team have been defense and rebounding. In the last three games, they have done a much better job in both areas especially with the defense. The team defense has been much improved, and Jefferies and Butler are our two main defensive stoppers now.
As far as rebounding go, Haywood and Thomas, IMO, have to step up their game a bit. Their numbers have been a bit down this year, Haywood seems to be playing much better.
They're in the middle of a stretch here where they play several home games and a few away games against winnable East opponents. This is a big opportunity for the Wiz to continue to move up in the standings. If the playoffs began today, they would be in the 8th spot, but they're just a few games out of the 4th spot, and right now, the Heat aren't exactly running away with the division.
Let's see if the Wiz can put together a nice winning streak of several games like they did around this time last season. Tomorrow against Philly is another step.
