I seriously doubt that Israel would be willing to depend even partially for its national defence on an organisation that includes Germany among others.

On the other hand NATO is a defensive alliance, would its members be willing to defend Israel against reprisals from Iran after an Israeli first strike against its nuclear facilities (not exactly out of the question)
