Because of the down time, I figured we could have fun an offer "Cyber Awards" for all of the great people who post in this particular forum. Kinda like the Around The NFL 2005 Award Show....

I will host it and set up a poll for the respective nominees. The polls will open the Sat Feb. 4th and close the Monday after the Pro Bowl.

Awards that will be given out will be standard ones such as....

For the posters....

"Best In Agruement" - For the poster whose valid points always support his statements.
"Worst In Agruement" - For the poster who pulls more crap outta the butt that an 10 month old.
"Fan Of The Year" - For the poster who defends his team with blind vigor (i.e. SUPER-HOMER!
"Thread Of The Year" - Nuff Said!

For teams not including Philly, Dallas, NY Giants, or Washington

"Game Of The Year"
"Play Of The Year"
"Dumbest Play Of The Year"
"Moment Of The Year"

But I need more, so I ask my extremeskin brothern to help me come up with ideas. The faster I get them, along with the nominees for these, the faster we can get this started and the faster we can get through these next two weeks of being forced to watch Arena Football and Wizards or Sixer highlights!

If you could simply either pick a topic and post nominees or come up with your own ideas and nominees it would be great.

The Super Bowl of the Award show will be called "THE BURGER KING BOBBLEHEAD AWARD" for the POSTER OF THE YEAR!

My nominees are......

tr1 for his consistent work on the "TO : The Fall Of The Eagles" and "The bwhahahaha consipracy"
Westbrook36 for his work in the "Salary Cap 101 : An Eagles Fan's View"

But I need help adding at least 3 more people....

All help would be appreciated and of course this is all in fun. I just figured it would be something that we can do as a "family" to make light of ourselves instead of always being at each others' throats!

Feedback is needed!

"Worst Tackle Of The Year" - Hate to say it, Brian Dawkins on Brad Sellars in DC

"LOL Moment Of The Year" - Mark Simenou kicks and makes extra point

How about the basically the entire KC defense trying to tackle Tiki Barber on one of his TD runs.

Best in Argument... hmmm that is a tough one. I would have to go with Blue Talon... he presents a very objective POV with his Seahawks.

Worst in Argument... ThornWithin.

Fan of the Year... This is a tough one, but I think it is a tie between Number5 and Westbrook. You guys are both blind homers. :)

Thread of the Year... my prediction that the Bears would get ***** slapped in their first playoff game.

Game of the Year... ??

Play of the Year... that Bears FG return for a touchdown. Unbelievable, it will never happen again.

Dumbest Play... McNabb's errant throw on Monday night to Roy Williams, followed by the fake limp.

Moment Of The Year... For me, it was watching the Patriots get beat in the Playoffs. Dam I was so sick of the Patriots, and I was scared to death they were going to make another run.

BWWaaahhhahhahahhaaa!

Without a doubt, DockeryFan is the class of this part of the board.Perhaps I'm partial because he continually trumps any far fetched arguments Eagles fans toss out there. Kudos to everyone else here who takes time to post...you guys make it a fun place to visit.

As for entertainment value, my pals #5, TerpsEagles, Y100 and WB36 take the cake...it takes large ones to come back time and time again to get beat up...but hey, some folks are into that. I picked the right year to show up, didn't I fellas? (I love you guys...no, really I do. ;) )

Best game: Skins 14-13 over Dallas...late night...awful discouraging until the final 3 minutes of shear, unadulterated joy!

Play of the Year: Cowher's attempt to score a TD and resulting fumble by Bettis. If they lose the game, it would have been the most played clip for years. Bettis=Pisarcik

Best off field antics: Who else, TO! The workout in the driveway is..well...is classic!

Ummm...someone already commented on the Brad Sellars one, so I'll skip to the next one. The Champ play was anything but clear on replay. There was not a single camera angle that could have clearly shown where the ball was fumbled. Also, they gave Denver the ball at the 1-yard line. They didn't give Champ the TD.

Game of the Year... ??

Besides the obviously bad call, I WOULD have said our game against Tampa. That was, of course, until the second Indy/Pitt game. Never have I been more into a game that wasn't the Redskins.

So Mark Bavaro should have just run over Ronnie Lott?

No offense man... but when you make statements like that it tells the rest of us that you know nothing about football. :2cents:
