You know if we get to a point where the Gang of 9 decides to sue the Poor Gang of 23; we could actually see the nfl have a stoppage in 2006. Not the players but the nfl owners will fight each other and lawyers will be raking millions. This could lead owners blocking other owners from playing in the league.

Say the rich owners to the poor owners- screw it- we are leaving the nfl and forming our own league. Or the Poor owners can say- we will block the rich owners from being in our league or form a new league without the rich owners.

You know- the nfl as we know it could end. Things could get ugly. Poor owner could get an injuction to prevent a rich owner to have a team in the nfl. Etc.... I know that's crazy talk but if things get into court between owners; then all bets are off.

As long the Skins play in 2006- even in a new league; that's all I want.

Maybe thats why no ticket invoices are out yet.

This is a reasonable conclusion that you draw, but I seriously doubt it will ever happen. The NFL owners will eventually hash this thing out. I think this is the perfect time for the wealthy owners to strike out against the so-called poor owners. The minute I see an NFL owner file for bankruptcy, I begin to believe that they are at a disadvantage or poor. Until then, I will continue to believe that they are simply trying to piggyback off of others teams hard work. I know they are some advantages to having a team in a larger market, but that does not mean those teams are guaranteed to make huge amounts of revenue. If Snyder was a bonehead businessman the skins wouldn't be this wealthy.

Well, I keep thinking the NFL owners aren't stupid, and they've got to know what kind of cash cow they're sitting on.

OTOH, if everybody thought that way, then there'd never be any divorces or estates where more than half of the money goes to paying multiple gangs of lawyers to fight each other.

To me, the NFL has got to realise that one of the big reasons they're raking in so much money is because of parity, and that parity comes from things like the salary cap and revenue sharing.

If I'm an NFL owner, my vote is "Ain't broke, don't fix it."

I'm kinda with you on this one Larry, if these "poor" owners try to hijack some more funds for themselves at the risk of losing so much more it will be the bonehead move of all time.

They want more local revenue sharing, but I don't hear anything about debt sharing. Why not help with some of Snyders debt service on his privately owned stadium if you want to hi-jack some of his profits.

Make a stand Dan I'm with you!

A lot of legal posturing going on right now. When the time is right, a deal will get done.
