The Carolina Panthers trimmed about $4 million from their salary cap Wednesday by releasing defensive tackle Brentson Buckner, running back Stephen Davis and kick returner Rod Smart.
After all this talk how indespensable he is for the team ..
O well .. Not For Long.

Let's sign him to a one day contract so he can retire a redskin. He had some good years with us.

I would welcome him back to the Skins if he can pass a physical. He could be our Gerald Riggs next year, falling forward in goal line situations for double-digit TDs.

I dont think we should bring him back, CP plays like a madman out there, it be kind of a slap in the face to bring someone in because hes more "physical".

Portis can't run it ever run play, he knows that. That's why the rock and Betts still get carries instead of giving the ball to portis 40-50 times a game. That's also why we draft two short-yardage backs last year. I ain't blasting you, I'm just saying it's not a smack in the face to not want to eddie-george somebody. :)

Your right, but it doesnt always work, the NY giants tried that with tiki and jacobs, and they ended up sticking with tiki most of the time in short yardage situations. Besides, if Nemo is ready next year, we'd have a short yardage back.
Davis is probably going to be to expensive and it may be better to adress other positions first (WR, DE).
