He needs a good two or three years with a spotless record and he will work his way back into the true redskin column.

Of course hes a real redskin. Some of his best friends like portis and moss are on the team and I dont seem him wanting to play for any other team. Even Greg Williams has said taylor has been his favorite player to coach.

I think Sean Taylor is an idiot.
Mind you I love to watch that idiot play football,
and love watching how scared he makes WRs.
But, my view is that the this kid is a true victim of
never having to acheive in a classroom or within social norms.
I think that Gregg WIlliam's can really show Sean Taylor how to be truly special on the field, and that they will establish a very strong relationship. Just for the record I don't think GW gives a $*** about the "SPIT" I think GW probably loved the intensity.
I hope that he can stay under control personally and keeps his intensity on the field, but I feel its probably more of a package deal. I also think Gibbs' reputation proves that he can deal with a "problem" guy. If that "problem" guy is taking him to the SB.
So I think he is a skin. I think being a skin will be the best thing that ever happend to him. He really was a choir boy since the gun "CHARGE" (it is nothing more than a charge) Other than spitting in the saintly face of Michael Pittman.
Sorry for the rant, but ST is an idiot, not a primadona. There is a big difference and he can learn alot from positive influences. You can't take the diva out of some other people.

How can you call someone a idiot that you don't know?
He may have spit in someone's face but does that give you the right to call him a idiot?
Anybody signed under contract to the Redskins is a real skin.
And I guarantee you that Gibbs and G. Williams feel that S. Taylor is a real Redskin.
Joe Gibbs didn't seem to care much after the "spitting incident", so why should we?

Whoa son I don't even think he did did nothing. He was probably trying to defend himself with that gun because some punk was mouthing off. They just mad cause we was winning and need to bring the team down son.
And with that spiiting thing, Tye Law spit in Steve Smiths face in the superbowl, and the patriots got named "americas team" and hard working joes that play with class but as soon as we do it then we don't have no class. Its a bunch of bull son. Don't buy into the hype ya heard.

And then others will defend him and just start pointless arguing...

How dare you say something negative about our beloved ST!
ST's play and intensity is enough to make any coach drool over having him. Even if you don't do well in school, it doesn't necessarily make you an idiot. Besides, you don't need a 250 IQ:silly: to play football.
Who knows maybe all the head to head contact ST has been initiating on the field affected his brain cells.
Everybody makes mistakes, if your going to hold the spitting incident and the gun CHARGES against him then something's wrong with you.
All I want is for him to be back next year to dominate just as he should be.

Maybe my memory is bad, but I don't remember Redskins fans ever worshipping players in the past they way they do now. It's all hype. Great players are usually not recognized as such until they've played for a number of years and have a solid career well under way. You don't start throwing flowers at a guy the minute he puts on your team's uniform. I don't think Darrell Green was ever even really appreciated until the last few years of his career.
If we start giving players our unqualified support based solely on talent with no regard to character, you know what that makes us? The Cowboys of the 90s.

I'd say he's an exceptional Skin
He's clutch, other teams' players and fans fear him, the coaching staff loves him, he's a one-man highlight reel.. Sometimes i think fans get more carried away than players. Spitting on someone isn't the end of the world, I think Riggo went on and laughed about it saying the stuff that goes on under the pile is on another level, so the players and coaches just shrug that small off.
Gun charge thing is seperate to football, happened in the off-season. No one knows what really happened but the people involved so judging character based on that isn't very smart imo

haha by gun charges i ment that he hasn't been proven guilty yet, besides I thought it was innocent until proven guilty and not the other way around. You can't really compare it to Ted Kennedy since he has been proven guilty. Glad I got you to laugh though.
T.J. case is just one player's word against anothers. The refs didn't see anything or else he would have been ejected.

I called him an idiot yes,
but I said I loved watching him play, and that I think he is a skin who will learn to be a man from positive influences by GW and JG.
I said that he is ONLY facing charges, meaning he wasn't convicted of anything else.
I also said that GW doesn't give a $*** about the spit.
GO LOOK I DIDN"T EDIT THAT POST.

If he played for somebody else, nobody here would be giving him any credit at all. Believe it or not, there actually aren't that many players in the NFL who wind up chasing people around with a gun. Taylor has done something pretty unique, the kind of thing that gives the rest of the players a bad name. You can say he's talented, and you can say you hope he gets his act together, but if you say what he did is fine because he plays for your team...you give Redskins fans a bad name.

Joe Gibbs has dealt with problem players. I am fifteen and know that John Riggins was a problem, but everyone loved him, because on the field, he went 200%. He loved playing here, even if he was a pain in the @$$. Taylor isnt even that, he just has had a few incidents, in which he will overcome, and hopefully his play will cause us to forget about them. On the field, he goes all out, on defense, on special teams, in practice, i have not heard one word against him about that. ST is definitely a real redskin, and what is with this crap about people not being a "skin" because of a bad incident. We are not perfect, our players have never been perfect, but we can still accept them as real skins as long as they do the best they can for the Redskins, wich Sean definitely does. Hail to the Redskins, all of them

What do you mean "What he did"?
I didn't realize he was already found guilty of the crime. In my opinion, if you assume one of your teams players is guilty based on media hype, you give fans of your team a bad name.
One wonders why we even bother with trials anymore at all in this country, since just accusing someone is enough these days.

I said what I said. And I said if he played for another team we wouldn't like it. Okay, I'll speak for myself; I wouldn't like it. Don't make that out of more than what I said. You said everything else. Hell, I don't know who or what or if he was chasing somebody with a gun. You said that along with the media. But thanks for the post. And just for the record, I'm still glad he plays for us ! And also for the record this thread still sucks.
Does Jon Jansen have a bad name because of this? Ahhh nope, okaaay lets try uhm , lets see here, oh here's one how about Clinton, tah, tah, tah, you lose again. I tell you what, we'll try another one how boooout Rock (no not Jansen) or did you know Jansen's nick name was Rock?
But this is not about nick names. So lets say Rock Cartwright, does he have a bad name? So there, how's that but good feed back and thanks for the comments. Remember everybody said Lewis and O'Jay were guilty too. So I really don't know what the hell Taylor was doing cause it's really none of my business.
But I do know in the win against Dallas in Dallas, this past season, he made a hit in the last seconds of the game that sent Clayton, or whatever his name is, flying out of Texas stadium and the ball flying out of the state of TX.
