Great Walt Harris replacement!

Dexter McCleon of the Kansas City Chiefs is a free agent. i think he would be perfect at #3 at CB. he could even be a decent #2 if he could beat out carlos rogers for the job. what do you guys think?

I thought they had the worst pass defense in the league last year. Or close to it. Maybe I don't know. He might be an O.K. fit. We need Vernon Davis first, though. haha

if anything though....he wont cost us much cause hes not a starter though he use to be and he could be. if anything he could be a #4 and help develope our young corners. sign him to a 1-2 year deal for a little veteran leadership and knowledge. what could it hurt???

He became a whipping boy for a lot of people but he played pretty well.

man....me too.....i thought walt did.....ok considering his age....if anything walt made good open feild takles! they should have cut matt bowen instead in my opinion

We should look for someone young. McCleon is good but we should find a young gun.

Dexter Mcleon is HORRIBLE !! I live in Warrensburg MO (40 min outside KC) and Mcleon is so hated here that he is probably not safe to walk the streets alone.....


I have seen jr high kids who tackle better

He is one of the worst cover corners in the league (right alongside Will Allen)

mcleon is way too old. hes 33, and he has lost his speed. I say we draft a corner in about the 5th round.

they cut bowen (who plays a different position...) AND harris

i didn't have a problem with harris as much as other people, but giving up the game winning td to edell freakin' shepherd at the end of the first TB game really pissed me off

i don't have a link at the moment, but its been posted here in a few threads... just search 'matt bowen released' or something like that... plus, its probably on the washington post/times websites

i agree mccleon is terrible. the guy was a QB in college and i don't think ever really learned the position of CB. he just sucks.

No, we are not gonna sign a Cornerback that can beat out Carlos Rogers for the job. He was our 9th Pick, in the 1st Round in 2005...We need to keep building from the draft and develope players intill Campbell takes over anyway.
