ESPNews reports the Minnesota Vikings have lifted the transition tag off CB Brian Williams, making him an unrestricted free agent.

We should move quick to sign this guy. He is an up and coming CB that could be our Nickle Back and start if either of our CB's get hurt. Springs isn't getting any younger. Williams and Rogers would make a great future tandem.

Yeah just saw this, another good possible CB. Fortunately there are a lot out there so I think we will at least grab someone good.

I saw this too. Yet another quality cornerback on the market.

Doesn't have injury problems, that is always a plus. I'd rather see us grab a vet like RW and draft a CB to replace Springs down the road. The market has several good CB's though, so we'll see. Williams, if cheap, wouldn't be a bad pick up though.

BW will prob want the transition tag money though so no thanks for a Nickel DB

williams would be a great pickup. he's still fairly young, but has good NFL experience, and shouldn't come too expensive. I think this is spring's last really good year coming up. In a year or two, he could move to nickle and williams could step up to be our #2 opposite rogers.

Is this guy a heavy hitter? If my memory serves me correctly I think he's a good cover corner but not that great of a tackler. GW requires physical corners. Walt Harris could and should be resigned for veteran minimum as he would be great depth and hits well.
