According to RealGM, Duhon and Deng are playing, Butler is out.
I have a feeling.............I don't know but I just think Arenas is going to bust out. Maybe a 50 point game.

April-14th-2006, 09:42 PM
Ben Gordon just took us by the neck and made us suck his dick.
9-9 from a mediocre shooter? Bah.
Gilbert, where the hell did he go in the 4th quarter? After dominating by GETTING TO THE PAINT, he just decides to throw up bad jumper after bad jumper.
Midway through the 4th, up 6 87-81 the game was going at our pace before our defense just disappeared.
Bah, the only good thing is that the 76ers lost. We're 2 games up on them, so I do believe if we win and the 76ers lose at Orlando we clinch a playoff birth.
Then again we'll be the #7/#8 seed. Welcome to Detroit or Miami. I'd rather just get a lottery pick.

It was a charge. Get over it.
I don't care about the call. I'm more pissed that Jared ****in Jeffries was the last guy to touch the ball on our last TWO possessions.
Look I understand the kid has set a new carer high the last two games but we should have run our Offense through Daniels and/or Haywood.
Arenas and Jamison both deserve a lot of blame for the loss. Arenas went away from what was working for him early on. Remember that post I made a while ago about how Arenas doesn't drive to the hoop often? Well he was and was dominating, but decided to just toss jumpers in the 4th quarter and that doesn't work.
And Jamison? Well he didn't show up, AGAIN. I hope we can trade him in the offseason. He's a chucker who can't play a lick of D and is making too much bank.
Daniels had another strong game. He definitely needs to start. He carried us tonight. He made Jeffries and Haywood look like All-Stars at times.
If you could combine Daniels and Arenas you'd get the best PG in the NBA.

Guys, close loss after close loss is continuing to magnify our coaching problem. Eddie Jordan has an excellent offensive system but when opposing teams make adjustments and counter our plan A, then counter adjustment is sorely lacking by EJ. We lost because we got outcoached.

Not a chance.
Daniels is much more calm and is more of a floor general. He always sticks to whats working, and doesn't try to do too much. I would say his leadership skills excel Arenas's.
Arenas has the killer attitude. That's great, I love it but sometimes it's too much. He plays out of his game to try to put a team away instead of sticking with what works.
Now, is Arenas a better player than Daniels? No doubt. Arenas is a dominant superstar and Daniels is a decent role player.
But there are things Daniels can do that Arenas can't.

Daniels sticks to the book because he is not a good enough player to consistently improvise without making a fool out of himself. And please, list these 'basketball' qualities that Daniels is better than Arenas at..
Shooting? Arenas Check. How many airballs and clunkers from midrange does AD throw up per game?
Dribble Penetration? Arenas Check.
Ability to break down the defense and get to the line? Arenas Check.
Ability to make teammates better? Arenas Check.
You know, before Arenas got hurt tonight we were winning. He hurt his calf and we lost. It's as simple as that. Daniels is impressive when Arenas is on the floor with him to draw the defensive pressure, but as we saw when Arenas got injured and the Wizards looked pitiful running the Offense through Jamison and Daniels-Arenas makes this team go.
The Wiz haven't had a franchise player for so long and yet when we have one people don't appreciate him.

I'm just pissed that Jeffries raced down the court like SuperSaveAHo, trying to be a hero, and essentially gave the Bulls the game. Unless your name is Gilbert, you don't that for this team when we have a timeout left and enough time to run a high percentage play. Just stupid.
I think Gil has stopped driving to hoop as much because he's tired of the refs giving him no respect. Last season Gil drove to the hoop all the time, and he was still doing so earlier this season.
It's sad to say, but Daniels and Haywood were the only players who stepped up in the fourth quarter. Everyone else was on cruise control, jacking up bad shots and playing horrendous defense.

Thats my point. Arenas is ABLE to do all of those things. But sometimes, he doesn't do it.
Sometimes a decent player whos very smart is better than a great player who isn't playing smart.
Oh I love Arenas. I appreciate him to death. I hate saying anything negative about him, hell I argue with my friends who are fans of other teams on why Arenas should be an MVP candidate(he should), I'm just pointing out that there are times when he doesn't fully utilize his talents.

I agree. I said a while back it should be AD and Gil because that what makes the offense run. AD, Gil, Caron, AJ, Etan. Thats what I would start.
Bring in Haywood and move Etan to power and do any number of things from sit AJ to moving him to SF and rolling Caron to shoting guard, etc etc. Bring in JJ or Etan. This is the rotation I would do.
Or even start JJ instead of AJ and have a tight defence with AD, Gil, Caron, JJ and Etan. Then you have scoring, running, and defense. Eveny one has quick feet and you have size, drives, blocks, steals, etc.

April-15th-2006, 01:01 PM
The last play was definitely a block, but I'm somewhat relieved the foul was not called. You know it is inevitable that JJ would have missed at least one of the FT's had the call been made. The NBA rules are already tilted to benefit offense, so I'm tired of seeing players get bailed out with foul calls. Bottom line, if you leave your feet 17 ft. from the basket without any sense of what you're going to do in the air you're not going to get the call.
