I was watching the battle of the gridiron competition the other night, and the man could not stop running his mouth. I hope someone gets under his chinstrap and knocks the snot out of his nose this season. I believe TO has some competition in the mouth department this season.

When is enough enough Chad? Shut the hell up. It doesn't do you any good to display that stupid who's covering Chad list, and firing the defense up. I would think the head coach would sit him down, and have a man to man talk.

The guy is a jerk for no reason though he calls out defensive backs for no reason at all, its like the one guy on the playground in elementary school who would be playing basketball and just talk non stop trash to his friends and act like an *******. It wasnt entertainment, and usually somebody ended up beating him up pretty badly. Maybe it will happen to Chad.

The only reason I even cared about watching Bengals highlights was to see if Chad Johnson scored and to see his funny celebrations. Chad Johnson can back his trash talking up, and most of the time he is trying to be funny anyway...you all need to seriously lighten up.

You sound awfully bitter. I love when he talks, he's hillarious.

I hope you know he talks to those DB's before and after games and re-assures them that he's just joking and having fun and apologizes if he meant harm? I've seen it on camera MANY times. He's an entertainment.

I have to say, I would love a Chad Johnson on the Giants. Although, the Giants have a lot of talkers as it is (Shockey, Strahan, now Arrington).

dude, chad johnson is great. He trash-talks but he backs his **** up. The NFL needs to lighten up. This guy is not a criminal and hes having fun playing a child's game. hes a great story, instead of those michael irvin storys and TO. Hes not a team disruption and its all fun and games

I don't understand how people think he's funny and entertaining and T.O. is an ass who is just full of himself, I honestly see very little differnce between these two loudmouths. It make me appreciate class acts like Art Monk more and more

He's having fun. Like it or not football is a sport not a sacred convenant.

As for the difference between him and TO - Chad Johnson doesn't attack his team mates. I'd say that's a pretty big difference.

arguging with coaches on the sidelines, refusing the trade to b-more, refusing to take a physical, asking for a new contract after getting a big deal the season before, causing distraction inside the lockerroom..

Is that enough?

The difference between Johnson and Owens is that Johnson is humorous. Owens is just a conceited twit.

CJ has to be one of the funniest guys in the league, I would love for him to be a Skin. How can you hate CJ? Its just all in a fun spirit.

I like Chad Johnson man. I watched Rich Eisen interview him on NFL.com the other day and he was making some good points about the new TD celebration rules...he referred to the parents who complain about their kids seeing an "offensive" TD celebration and basically said it starts with the parents. It's up to them to raise their kids.

He talks a lot of junk but he is a good receiver and he's an entertaining athlete to watch. I get the feeling that he's actually a good guy, just a bit flashy.

It make me appreciate class acts like Art Monk more and more Would T.O. ever throw team-autographed items to the fans after scoring a touchdown? Chad Johnson and Owens aren't even remotely similiar in behavior, from the way they treat their opponents, to their fans, to especially their teammates and coaches. The only "trouble" Johnson allegedly got into last year was during their playoff loss to the Steelers when he flipped out in the lockerroom at halftime, but even then it was supposedly trying to get the team fired up and not worry about losing Palmer, but that story was never proven true by any source anyway, unlike the majority of T.O.'s incidents. I just can't see how anyone would have a problem with Chad- guy's one hell of a reciever, great team player and appreciates his fans, and is entertaining much in the same way Portis entertained with those costumes as they both like to joke around but more than prove their worth on game day.

I love Chad Johnson. I remember when he was semi new to the league and they showed him working out in his free time and was asked why he works out when others sleep and have time off. He said "because I want to be the best." For some reason I became a fan of his after that. I don't think he is cocky. I hate cocky players (keyshawn). He does it for fun. Remember when he sent those bottles of peptobismal to the Browns secondary and then had the worst game of his life? He does it out of fun. He is fun to watch, is a good person, and most of all he talks all that trash but comes through in the clutch. You gotta respect that.

People who have a problem with Chad Johnson (in terms of what we know right now) should shove tridents in their eyes.

They either have a big problem with the 'entertainment' side of the sport or, worse, believe that football players are to be seen only during the context of a play and not heard or seen anywhere else.

I'd inject something else but there is no need to go deeper than that. Let's just say some people don't understand the cultural significance of 'trash talk.' Then again, Larry Bird was one of the biggest trash talkers ever. You just didn't hear him "mic'ed" up.

Chad Johnson if not the best is in the top 3 recievers in the league. He is a team player who always supports his teamates. He calls out DB's because they can't cover him.. and i would do the same thing.

I would give up a lot to have a player like Chad Johnson on the skins.. and i guarentee Saunders and Gibbs would too. IT is all an act... but just like any great athlete he does believe that he can walk through walls.

He is TO---without all the baggage

EXACTLY.. awesome point.... Larry Bird was so notorious for his trash talk, and probably said things that Chad Johnson would never think of saying...

Then again.. Larry Bird.... my fav player of all time and one of the greats...

CJ is going to end his career as one of the better recievers this league has seen.. he is young and talented... on a solid team

I can never decide whether Johnson is really the cocky bastard he comes off as, or if it's all tongue-in-cheek and he's just really good at keeping a straight face. I like to think it's the latter, because otherwise I feel like he needs to get punched right in his gold teeth.

But if you look at it when he calls them out he backs up his talking his playing. He doing this for entertainment, if you look at it with Chad, TO, Farve situtaion, and LaVar wanting to play the us twice, football would be pretty boring when its not sunday. Bottom Line Chad backs his talk with his play, you he is not one of the best receivers in the game today other then Santana Moss.

Dude, lighten up. He is just joking around. I find him hilarious. But it has become apparent with his talking, and how Portis was last year, that people take themselves too seriously and cant take a joke.

:applause::applause: Exactly. Big difference between the two. Chad is not at all like T.O. other then the fact he is an awesome receiver.

Chad Johnson can say what he wants as long as he's clowning everyone trying to cover him. Don't like it, stop him.

We'll see how funny it is if the Carson Palmer knee reconstruction doesn't go so well and he ends up with Anthony Wright as his QB. Exactly how long will it take for him to become disruptive? Lets see.........he was taking swings at his head coach in the locker room by HALFTIME of the playoff game against Pittsburgh and that was when Jon Kitna (a far better option than wright) was his QB. Where there is smoke there is fire and this guy is well on his way to becoming out of control -- just like his friend Terrell
