I just think its funny how so many Giants fans are ecstatic about getting L.A. and this time last yr he was washed up.

I can't remember the last time the Giants D was better then ours, can anyone?

If they are better then our D this yr, its b/c they had to add another Skin to do it.

I would love for the Giants bashing to begin.. so guys feel free to bash away on all the Giants troll's.

They were nowhere to be found after we killed them 35-20 last season, but b/c they add another Skin they belive they will be better.

Remember Giants fans, it takes a Skin to beat a Skin.

Arrington will make their defense better. Especially, I think, because the way his contract is set up so that his earnings are dependant on performance.

We'll still beat 'em, though.:gaintsuck

You gotta admit it was a good pickup for them...pierce and arrington is a nice lb combo...but they still cant stop santana and the new al saunders offense :)

If Tiki doesn't carry the offense on his back like he did last year, the Giants are stuck, and then it all comes down to what Eli does, and that doesn't strike fear in anyone's heart.

Their defense will still be vulnerable to the run and the deep pass simply because they just do not have the players that can run Tim Lewis' defensive scheme .

And we think we are better also. Doesn't just about every team thikn they will be better than last year? We "raided" SF for cryin' out loud.

In all fairness to them if we had signed an identical player with the same problems we would be pretty excited as well. All our signings have a wart or two and we still think we will be better.

The difference is we are right. :D

I think that some people are just flat out homers and cant say the truth. Lavar is definetely a good player and he WILL make them a better team. Their rush will be outright scary with osi strahan and pierce in there as well.....so it will be a tough game

the thing is although they improved their secondary they cant really hang with our WR's and itll be the same story as it was in Fed Ex. If they try and beat up our WR's, here comes portis, if they go for portis, then its our WR's that will get em, if that fails, theres a few guys named sellers and cooley

ps. Id love to see AP be able to "predict" our offense this year like he did up there in new york....jackass

I think the Giants should worry about having to play 8 road games this year. Their road record was not good.

I think that their defense is going to be REALLY good. Last year their defense kept them in a lot of game when Eli was struggling (which is often). If Eli progresses in the offseason and plays well then the game is going to be a lot tougher than people think. The Giants have no offense outside of Tiki. If we shut him down and put the weight on Eli's shoulders we'll see another 35-13 game (35-20 if you could that lucky tipped pass caught by Toomer).

Isnt it about time for strahan to lose a step? The guy is almost 35. Last year somebody on the radio (Huff, i think) said the only way he can remember Usi's name is by thinking of "Human Error". Anyways he didnt have a good game against us the second time around, and neither did A.P. The only way i think the giants will have a huge year is if Eli really steps up. Teams are aware of Tikki now and i would hope that in the game prep for the giants G.W. and Dale Lindsey are working on some way to force fumbles out of Tikki's new style of holding the ball.:2cents:

Either him Webster, or our first draft pick. I think webster has the best chance.

Ehh... Lavar was not making such a huge difference on the field for us this year, so what are these Giants fans so excited about?

You never know... maybe he will get back in shape and become the monster we all know he can be, but even then, they'll be beatable. It's as if when LA was playing his best with us we were Super Bowl champs or something. You'd think it when reading these troll posts.

I just can't remember the last time they were ranked higher then us

I know for a fact Giants fans bashed L.A. last yr, saying he was washed up and to stupid to pick up our system, now they all love him. I love are acquistions this off-season, but I never dogged the guys we got before ethier. Giants fans are in for some heart ache this season and I can't wait to hear there stupid excuses, like last yr. We got spanked the 1st game in the Meadowlands and the 2nd game we did the spanking. I never made excuses when we lost to them, I just said, we got are asses kicked and the Giants played a phenomenal game.
On paper both of our teams have some good potential, but thats on paper. Wait until a few guys getted knicked up then we'll see whos good.

Although I know Arrington will be a playmaker for them and will improve their D, I do think it is funny that every Giant fan who was quick to use LA as a weakness to our D last year are just as quick to say he is going to have a major impact for them

That's probably because A.P. didn't play in the second game...lol ;)

Oh their defense will be better than it was last season, but that doesnt make it better than ours, considering how far they have to go. A few minor improvements on defense does not take your defense from being horrid to an NFL powerhouse. The Giants need a new D Coordinator.

My point exactly, Giants fans can't even remember when there D was ranked higher then ours. These Giants trolls are a trip. They need some Skins, just to beat the Skins,

Anytime you see another Giants fan bragging about them getting L.A. or A.P., just let them know, it takes a Skin to beat a Skin. Also you could let them know that they haven't had a top 10 defense since they had L.T. and L.A. is not L.T.

L.A. would get pancaked by C.P. all day long.
Do you think L.T. would?
So just remind them that just b/c he wears #56, doesn't mean he is L.T. I loved L.A. as a player, but he never took over a game like L.T. could. L.A. might have made the biggest play of his career, when he got the Int for td against the Panthers and virtually turned our season around. I think Marty deserved another season after ending the season w/ 8 wins in a row, but what has Marty done since....?

Back to my point, Giants fans think L.A. will be the playmaker he was for us several years ago... Sorry, but L.A. isn't the same player he used to be and unless he drinks from a foutain of youth, he ain't any younger either.
Don't get me wrong I love him as a player, but do Giants fans really think L.A. couldn't pick up our system or maybe its b/c L.A.'s motor is running on fumes now. I mean GW didn't leave L.A. in on 3rd downs why? at 1st I was angry at the coach's for this, but after thinking about it, he just didn't have that burst he used to have on most plays. He did show the burst here and there, last season, but not like he had before the injury.
I feel like GW knew he wasn't going to get back to his old self and wanted to get something out of his deal before it was too late.
Time will tell, did the Skins FO make a huge mistake? Or did they know something that the casual "ARM CHAIR QB" doesn't?
I recall Gibbs loving L.A.'s athletic ability when Gibbs 1st came back to the Skins (before L.A.'s injury), but I don't recall any of the coach's mentioning his athletic ability and burst after the injury. They said, he was getting better in practice but they never said, he looks like his old self flying around.
I wonder why?
Gibbs has always been honest in my opinion and if he felt L.A. could still play like he was before the injury, he would of said so.
When your athleticism goes, your mental abilities come more into play and L.A.'s not lying when he said, he wasn't good enough. His old self would've been b/c he could make up for more of his mistakes w/ his athleticism, but now he can't.

I wanna beat those mother ****ers, with AP and Arrington, at the Meadowlands next season. That way they can make no excuses and are likely swallowed into the abyss of their brutal opening 7 games, and AP and Arrington can go cry to comfort each other and cry about how much of a loving family the Giants are, and how unfair it is that the Redskins beat them up.

Both AP and Arrington sold us out, they betrayed the code of the warrior, they betrayed Master Gibbs, and that is unforgivable.

I don't think that is true. I believe they had a top 10 defense when John Fox was their D coordinator. I think. My memory is going.

Come on Riggo, are we talking football or what?

Let me translate in less homosexual terms,
The Skin's D is GOING to be great, rather SOONER, then later. Giants fans should be happy if they finish in the top 15, if we finished anywhere outside the top 10.......well lets just say Skins fans would be  . We'll have the chance to get the best athlete available, which means, we have almost 98% of our positions filled and we don't have to pressure ourselves w/ filling multiple positions, unlike the Giants. The G-WOMEN, from what I've read lately, have quite a few more needs then the Skins. In fact, if the G-WOMEN, mainly the D hasn't really scared anyone lately. It would be awful to see you guys go through another yr ranked in the bottom qtr. of the league on D.
If anyone knows L.A.'s and A.P.'s weaknesses, its G.Dubb, Heck G.W. has transformed A.P. into what he is now, a solid Lber, he hasn't went to any pro bowls yet, unlike M. Washington. If we get a guy named "Rocky" from the the "U" he would be a younger, smarter version of L.A. He played all 3 lber positions in college and was the best lber on the team when he played. Of course, he may go earlier then expected, and if he does we'll get another freak athlete b/c we can afford to take a chance w/o depending on it. I can't say the same for you guys.

In all I think the departure of Arrington is good for the Skins because it shows that the people in charge are thinking about a winning system and not about celebrity players. I'd much prefer an overpaid coaching staff to an overpaid team. Sure, we've had our fun shopping this offseason, but all the players we've picked up seem to be condusive with that system in a way that past pickups haven't (like, say, Deion Sanders).

A little off topic, but just a thought...
