Local newscaster Wendy Rieger turned 50 this week! She's one of the more popular news anchors in the D.C. Metro area and was spotted this week at a Bistro on the Eastern Shore -- dining 10 feet away from Dick and Lynne Cheney, and Don and Joyce Rumsfeld.

Yours truly had the opportunity to meet Ms. Rieger at an American University alumni event not too long ago and I thought her birthday would be an appropriate time to post this picture.

No offense dude.... but you aren't married are you? You're out WAY too often... at social events.... surrounding yourself and taking pictures with women all the time.... to be married.

Or, you have a very understanding wife... who stays at home and raises your children :)

The thing is, I actually used to work at WRC and she joined the station just weeks before I left and had met her only once. Believe it or not, she thought I looked familiar and we were able to strike up a really nice conversation. She's an absolute riot and doesn't act anywhere near 50. She's the type of person you'd like to hang out with at happy hour.
