The company that owns WTOP and several other stations shuffled them to get WTOP on a stronger signal. The main WTOP is 103.5 now, which used to be classical, which moved to 104.1.

techboy, we had to have our lab put down several months ago. It was very hard to do. We had had the dog since he was a pup and he was nearly 14 when he died. We have just started thinking about another dog. Do you have links to any good rescue organizations in the Hampton Roads area?

I'm sorry for your loss. Still, it sounds like you had a nice long time with him. LRR, the organization I just started volunteering with (and got our second lab from) doesn't serve that area.

However, you can check this site (http://www.thelabradorclub.com/rescue/searchrescue.php) which allows you to search for a Labrador Rescue Network member in your area. Obviously, you'd need to check the group out, but it's a place to start.

Looking through there, I think that Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond (http://labrescue-richmond.org/) seems to be the closest to you. You might try them.

It would appear that Lab Rescue of the Potomac (http://www.www.lab-rescue.com/) works in your area, too.

I don't know anything about either of these groups, though.

Good luck. Rescuing a dog is well worth it.

By the way, I'd recommend you PM Huly, but she works for a hound rescue, and she'd probably try to talk you into adopting a hound. Hounds are stubborn, difficult to train, food crazy, and they bay. ;)

I'm just kidding. I love all dogs, hounds included, and Huly appears to be pretty connected to the rescue movement as a whole. I'd definitely PM her.
