Here is a chart of how much our guys are making, how well they perform, and thus how much they should be making:
http://www.82games.com/0506/0506WAS.HTM
Arenas making $10 Mil is UNDERPAID.
Jamison, for all the talk about being overpaid, is according to this slightly underpaid.
Butler is vastly underpaid but that isn't factoring in his new contract, so he's making fair money.
Haywood and Jeffries both making fair money, which means there might be reluctancy to resign Jeffries.
Daniels also slightly overpaid, but thats factoring in his awful 1st half, so looks like he's a good buy.
I'd say overall, we're doing well with our salaries.

I agree with you that we seem to be doing pretty well in managing our salaries

Well, this just proves what we all ready know. Etan Thomas is robbing the Wizards as is Jarvis Hayes based on what he's done for this team the past two years.

I agree with etan, but i think hayes production will rise if he can stay healthy and really get into the flow of things. Jeffries really did turn things around this year. I still feel haywood is overpaid. But it does appear that we are doing well with our slaries and it does make sense, seeing as how we've been in the playoffs the past 2 years.

No way in the World is Haywood overpaid. He's arguably one of the most underpaid players in the nba. On the open market, he easily get 6 years, 42-50 million. He signed for 5 years, 25 million. For comparison sakes:
Adonal Foyle, 5 years, 42 million
Tyson Chandler, 6 years, 60 million (Michael Ruffin has better offensive skills. Plus, Haywood DESTROYS him whenever they play against each other)
Etan Thomas 6 years, 36 million
Mark Blount, 6 years, 42 million
Z, 5 years, 60 million
Dampier, 6 years, 72 million
Dalembert, 6 years, 60-70 million
Gadzuric, 6 years, 36 million
Get the picture? Centers are vastly overpaid in the nba. For what Haywood porvides, he's an abasolute bargain.

Oh yeah. We are doing well. Consider you are looking at a static model. It doesn't allow for upside and chemistry.
AJ makes 15M this coming year and 16.3 the following year. I say his contract is to much because for all his numbers he cant play D so he would be used best coming off the bench. He is a tweener and takes the spot of a big bodied PF or a quicker SF.
Gil will be underpaid for a while.
I agree with your take on AD. Projected over a year, he would be underpaid and I think he should be starting.
Haywood would be underpaid if EJ would play him more then 20 min.

I don't think Jamison is really getting "overpaid." I mean, relative to other guys making that much, he's making fair money.
He is a 20 and 9 player who can play the 3 and the 4. He's also recently started to develop the 3 point shot. For our type of offensive system he is extremely valuable. Yeah he can't play much D but most of the league can't play much D either.

just because there are some player making good money that cant play D doesnt mean that what you want to copy.
How many team that are in the finals have 14-15 mil players who cant play D. We, at least that cant play it like AJ cant. If he just had quicker lateral movement, he was be so much better. He has everything else.

Its crazy how Dallas can eat salaries like that...
hands, what is your problem with 'tawn? His arrival coincided with consecutive playoff births. Not to mention he's a stand-up guy who doesn't get arrested, mouth-off or slap anyone.
20 and 10 a night. respect that

If you have read my post, you wouldnt think I have a problem with him. I think we should have him retire a Wiz. I just think like Dallas did. He would be best coming off the bench.

Walker makes 8 million a year, not 15. He just signed 5 years, 42 million. Dampier makes 10 million a year.
