Though I'm biased, people voting are morons. Lane is ranked #17 right now. Unbelievable.

I thought that as well, Lane is better than #17

And Clemson isn't even on the list. Regardless of my moderate dislike for Clemson, Death Valley is what college football is all about.

Hey, at least you're on the list. :2cents:
(Agreed on Death Valley, btw.)
EDIT- Army? UCLA? Washington? Stanford? Miami? Are you kidding me?

Unless it is FSU, the Orange Bowl has thousands of empty seats. Pathetic.

espn dicks rides us but shows no love for mountaineer field, but we got love from a hokie fan on there. But i cant disagree lane should be on there mountaineer field and Lane are the best two college football exprences ive had and ive been to my fair share of games
Jay (Fairfax): I'm a diehard Tech fan, but West Virginia's stadium at night is a wild as is gets!!! I think they should be included.

Lanes gotta be at least top 10 after all the work they just did.
Im surprised that the Carrier Dome isnt on the list. You should get points for being the only college stadium that serves beer. :)

Maybe ESPN doesn't condone battery-chucking. It is certainly a hostile and rowdy college football atmosphere, but the field and stadium itself is a pit from what I've seen on TV and from Hokies who have been there.
BTW, where did you see that comment? I can't find it.

wowowow after the renovation to the endzone calling it a pitt is harsh for the fact lane before renovations has those bleachers on both sides so it was nothing sprecial

Also agree on Death Valley
Army is on because of History
Washington maybe because of it's location
ULCA and Miami don't even sell out most of their games :whoknows:
Stanford is not one of the choices

It looks like they took a lot of things into account
Noise and atmosphere wise, Moutaineer field should be in the top 10
But things like history and architecture and nonsense like that was thrown in there
For me I rate a stadium on one factor. How crazy is it?

Unless they changed it recently, the University of Colorado at Boulder also serves beer. A good friend of mine went there, as did a guy who works with my dad. With all the recent problems they've had surrounding their football program, I wouldn't doubt they got rid of beer in the stands.
Lane should definitely be in the top 10, and WVU's Stadium should at least be top 15. The fact that these stadiums are "small" compared to media favorites are probably what's hurting them.
I know from personal experience that Lane is louder than Jordan-Hare at Auburn, which holds 86K. Size for stadiums does not dictate how loud it is/the atmosphere.

Players love our surface. Can't remember where I saw it, but our average ankle/knee/acl/leg injuries suffered on gamedays are actually lower than grass stadiums percentagewise. Don't ask me how they determine that. (But if the players believe it, it doesn't really matter.)
On a side note- am I the only person that's ever been to Mountaineer Field that has never seen anyone throw a battery? You would think since I've been to every home game for the past 4 years (in various sections, mostly student) that I would've seen that at some point in time.

I had to vote for Neyland Stadium as #1. I loved going to football games there.

i'll say that it isn't the prettiest. but they have made some serious improvements to that place over the last several years. the facilities for the players are actually pretty nice.

Apparently quite a few others voted that way too.

Neyland wasn't rockin' too much this past year. If Fulmer doesn't do something this year, they might storm the field in a non-celebratory fashion.

Well I had a front row seat to that, as I am just coming off my freshman year at UT. Believe me, when both the 'Skins and the Vols were at 5-6, I was dying in terms of football.
