Come on, Baltimore really got one over on Tenn.

What do you think?

McNair is a shadow of his former self, he's no longer a top flight QB, there's no chance of him staying healthy for 16 games. Titans did good with a 4th rounder, that team has so many holes they have no chance of being competitive this year so they can start the Vince Young era asap.

me thinks wrong forum.
but to answer your question...he only has 2 year left. 4th sounds good to me.

McNair is good and all but its a temporary 2 year max fix.

What Baltimore needed this offseason was help on the offensive line. As seen last year, their offensive line sucks. They are too old and they did not do anything to get some talent. There was plenty of opportunity to get free agents but the Ravens did not pull the trigger. A new QB is good but if he doesn't have time to throw or the RB doesn't have holes to run through, your team pretty much sucks.

The Titans were desperate to get rid of him. He represents a huge salary cap hit, so they were probably glad to get even a fourth-rounder.

If McNair is healthy, he can help the Ravens, but, as others have said, he's not the player he used to be.

High salary capped fragile QB=4th rounder

True dat. I'd rather have the girls in your sig block for me than the Ravens O-Line.

The Titans had no choice but to get rid of McNair for salary cap reasons. Once McNair refused to take a pay cut they knew they were going to lose him. The only question was were they going to release him and get nothing in return or trade him for a draft pick. The only team that really wanted McNair (probably due to his salary demands) was the Ravens. But everyone else knew the Titans were desperate and realized they had the upper hand in any trade negotiations b/c there was no bidding war and they could always wait for Tennesse to release him if the price wasn't right. They just gave up the pick so they could get him into training camp ontime and allow him time to learn the offense and get comfortable with his receivers.

No way Baltimore got over on them....it's the other way around. The Titans were going to have to release him anyway, so a draft pick is a bonus. The Caveins were getting desperate to get McNair acclimated. I do think that McNair has a couple of good years in him but, I agree with EvoSkins.....Baltimore did not address their glaring need for some O-line, and Mcnair will get destroyed.....

I truly wonder what's going on behind the scenes in Baltimore....

I truly wonder what's going on behind the scenes in Baltimore....I agree with this statement but would add that their woes have nothing to do with what's going on "behind the scenes" and everything to do with Brian Billick. Offensive genius? No! Arrogant, self-absorbed fool who was lucky enough to hitch himself to Marvin Lewis' defense. :2cents:
