Thoughts? nbadraft.net lost a lot of credibility in my eyes when they said AD was "a major disappointment last season." I am also not very high on Hilton Armstrong who will be Haywood at best at the next level.
I do agree that Shawne Williams will fit in pretty well and the guy I've been been talking about since day 1, Mardy Collins.

I don't really like Collins. He seems like he'd make a decent defender but he's got no offensive game. He'd be great to pick in the late 20s or in the 2nd Round. I wouldn't mind trading down to get him, but at 18 he's a reach.
Williams? Ehh. SF is our deepest position and he'd be a project. If we're going to get a project I'd rather get a big man like Sene.

hilton armstrong? a haywood at best in the next level? no way...one BIG difference between the two....Armstrong has a baby jumper...i mean its like 15 ft at best but still better then having one move and having your back to the basket as ur offense(Haywood)

yeah armstrong was a real offensive weapon in college with his 9 points a game.

Doesn't sound like you've ever seen Mardy play. Ok hes never going to be an all star because of his offensive abilities but he averaged 17 a game his jr and sr years on a pretty ****ty temple team. His 3 point shot isnt that great but neither was butler when he came out of UCONN. He makes it up with a very solid mid range shot. He is one of the best ball handlers in the draft and has very good court vision. The thing I love most about him though is his defense. Hands down the best defensive guard in the draft.
Williams may be a project if you compare him to guys who are more NBA ready and experienced. But people forget he was a big time contributor on a very deep memphis team averaging 13 and 6 as a freshman. So you cant say that hes a project comparable to Sene.
Also I prefer draftexpress as well but its always good to follow a few other diferent sources so you're getting different opinions.

NoNoNo Mardy Collins.
The last thing we need is another Swingman with below average athleticism, no matter how well they think he can play the point.
I don't want a 6'6" guy unless he has a 36-40" vertical and can SLAM it at the rack hard, not miss everytime there is some contact like Jared.
Mardy will have trouble guarding guys, and that is the last thing we need IMO :(

Well, since I don't watch much college ball, you guys can pound it out in here. I'm sure someone will guess it right but whoever does should get some props because if you guess like EG does, you know something.

I agree with everything you said except the Mardy collins thing, i wouldn't like us drafting him in round 1 (where he is projected right?)
As far as Hilton - He will not be Haywood because he is much more athletic and offensively skilled, as far as whether he will be good or not, I don't know... I went through a period where I was kinda high on him after not liking his perfomance in the NCAAs, but he was behind such high quality talent at Uconn and is very young for a senior.
Now this Alex Johnson kid from FSU is getting my attention, but there are a lot of ?s I have about him... but as a raw dunk & defense player he sounds up there with Kenyon Martin coming out of school... not totally sold but intrigued for sure.

I like Mardy, however I am a biases Owl alum.
I saw Kevin Lyde in Dupont last night, high-fived him.
