I think it is so messed up that stiffs like Josh Boone are listed as "Top 2006 Prospects" when a lot of experts are saying he should go back to school and they don't even list Alexander Johnson when he is a guy that a lot of people don't know and is probably going to be one of the top 10 guys drafted in this draft when all is said and done. Value wise not draft position I means.

I really hope we draft AJ he is just coming into his own, it seems the people who really have scouted him closely say the Wiz will draft him and the ones who do website "I watch ESPN" scouting and make mock drafts have him late in the 2nd. Dummies.

Yeah I was a litle disappointed Johnson wasn't listed. I have said all along that the guy is a lottery talent. Just recently after he started blowing up workouts people have started to take notice in mock drafts (I've seen him going as high as 12!). His stock is certainly on the rise and I can only hope he is there at 18.

I read an interview with the Wiz director of player personnell and he said he was really excited, because this is only their 2nd year with a first round draft pick (Jarvis was the first)

He said they are pretty much not interested in drafting another project because they don't see anyone better than Blatche is right now (I'm guessing he means Shawne williams and Saer Sene which I guess I'd agree with - Blatche was offered NBA draft status and Shawne wasn't last year so who knows)

He said they are looking at a Juniors (A. Johnson?) and a seniors (Hilton Armstrong?) and not so much young raw kids. He said they definately will draft the best player available no matter what, but are hoping that the best player available will be an impact PF or C.

Hilton is good I know but still... he is so skinny... I just don't see what he brings at all that AJ doesn't, and that is why I am not so high on him even though he has that name recognition.:2cents:

Don't get me wrong though, if Hilton was the best we could get I'd be happy - I'm just not convinced he can play Center in the league and I am convinced AJ could play the 4 and 5 easily because he is so damn strong and athletic and has a LBackers frame to gain more muscle. He could probably guard small forwards too if he needed too.
